Hi all,
i was typing in a tool deception in one of my operations this morning , and when I click the done or ok button
i got a new icon that I've never seen before on that operation, does anyone know what this icon is and means?
As always thanks in advance
Ron
Update, sandwiching the laminate between 2 pcs. of alum and cutting profile , and moving clamps around worked great..
thanks to all , and your response...
if this idea had not worked i would of try a reverse ground end mill.
but didn't have to go that far..
Ron
Hello one and all..
Just wondering if anyone has cut Laminated Alum. (AMS-DTL-22499 .250 thick) , and if so any tip on cutting it?
speed and feed , how to cut it... off top of my head just by looking at it I feel i must
hold it in a way that the layer don't separate..
Thanks in advance
Ron
Thanks Tad for your efforts...
but I've been up and down in and out of just about everything and haven't found any that would help me..
i'm starting to think might have to open a file and manually edit to select new defaults for the compare
to stl panel, but not sure what file holds that info.,
but I really appreciate your efforts
thank again !!
Ron :-)
No Good, colors stay as long as I keep the mastercam session open, but as soon as I close and start mastercam again colors revert back to defalt
Ron :-(
Hi to everyone,
My question is there a way to change and save default colors on Compare to STL in the verify..
I'm little color blind and I have to change colors around every time I want to compare...
I'm running mcx-6.
Thanks for the help in advance
Ron
Sound like your chain are not trimmed together all the way around, trim your first chain at all intersection, and make sure they are all on the same z level
hope this help
Ron
No there no way at the moment, sim or verify runs as if the spindle is running so you end with a round hole.. :-)
Also there no way to create a squared off tool, even in custom tools...
Thanks all, for your replies, we are doing what print calls for ... just think it a little nuts, since the spec. between t3 vs. t351 really not much different...
Ron
Hi all, just a question for you all was wondering if anybody else is having trouble with material call out on print with AS9102 cert.?
example we have a job Finish thickness of part is .03 , print call out for 2024-T351 but the smallest size for T351 is .250 thick.
I'd like to to get .06 thick material but that 2024-T3
personally I think ordering .250 thick material for .03 thick part is a little crazy,
so I was just wonder if any one else has run into this, if so what are you doing to get thur. it
As always any and all comment helpful.
Thanks in advance
Ron
