So we are finally going to get up to date, and I was wondering...
What is the oldest ver. of MC, MC 2018 can open?
any help in this would be greatly appreciated
Ron
I have a set of 8" Fowler, sylvac utra-cal mark lll (swiss made) has been a great for the last 20 years and are like new still..
not sure what today's version are like...
Thanks crazymillman for the quick response...
I thought as much... :-) just glad i'm not miss something that would make my programming life easier.. lol
I would like to know how you guy deal with these inside radius and still keep the gasket grove flat
I would think using a end mill it would dig into grove as it try to swing the below radius.. :-)
I clicked on control cause that what my company has used every since I can remember, try talking them into wear when we switched to MC
but I was out voted and over ruled...
so I use control but wear is what I prefer !!!!!
I have a job.. above is a portion of the print and the section in question
here the question to engineer.. also this is a 1st. article
Question: whats the dim to (3) 6-32 sti holes..
in the y direction of print..
Answer: Dimension not required because of centerline Datum A
confused: :-)
Now am I wrong here wouldn't he need a centerline line to assume centerline
to datum A?
can anyone help here , am I wrong here or is the engineer from Mars
Ron

I don't think so Ben , I've create a mutlisurface 5x toolpath on a bottom view workshift and was able to cut my surfaces..
now I in the middle of creating a toolpath to cut smaller radius around the part..
now with that said I'm not sure about the rest of the 5x toolpaths having to come from top view...
Ron
yeah I tried that , and no matter what the workshift it posts upside down..
I'll have to find a different way to get it done.. thanx for your efforts
Ron
What I have done exactly was had a high speed finish surfacing rotine (waterline)
but ran out of reach with standard tool so I converted it to 5x toolpath with a 10 degree
tilt to get my reach with standard tool... but as i stated the 5x converted toolpath seems to be uoside down
to the toolpath current workshift...
