  1. So we are finally going to get up to date, and I was wondering... What is the oldest ver. of MC, MC 2018 can open? any help in this would be greatly appreciated Ron
  2. looks like you have created spline curves Have you try simplify the geometry to create the arc's hope this helps Ron
  3. Your circle geometry must start and end point must be at 12 o'clock position.. hope this helps Ron

  6. I have a set of 8" Fowler, sylvac utra-cal mark lll (swiss made) has been a great for the last 20 years and are like new still.. not sure what today's version are like...
  7. if using tape make sure you clean area where tape is to adhere.. using contact cleaner works well..

  9. I would like to know how you guy deal with these inside radius and still keep the gasket grove flat I would think using a end mill it would dig into grove as it try to swing the below radius.. :-)
  10. I clicked on control cause that what my company has used every since I can remember, try talking them into wear when we switched to MC but I was out voted and over ruled... so I use control but wear is what I prefer !!!!!
  11. What would be nice if one of you geniuses .. come up with a converter to change previous programmmed job from control to wear... :-)
  12. I too use #1 carbide center drill to do my engraving unless engraving get filled..

I have a job.. above is a portion of the print and the section in question here the question to engineer.. also this is a 1st. article Question: whats the dim to (3) 6-32 sti holes.. in the y direction of print.. Answer: Dimension not required because of centerline Datum A confused: :-) Now am I wrong here wouldn't he need a centerline line to assume centerline to datum A? can anyone help here , am I wrong here or is the engineer from Mars Ron
  16. yes and notice your stock plane is op1... on your 2nd. op this stock plane should be the same Ron
  17. Need to check in your machine properties of the 2nd. op. stock setup , stock view... stock view on 2nd. op. should be set to the view that your 1st. op. was done in... hth Ron

I don't think so Ben , I've create a mutlisurface 5x toolpath on a bottom view workshift and was able to cut my surfaces.. now I in the middle of creating a toolpath to cut smaller radius around the part.. now with that said I'm not sure about the rest of the 5x toolpaths having to come from top view... Ron
  21. yeah I tried that , and no matter what the workshift it posts upside down.. I'll have to find a different way to get it done.. thanx for your efforts Ron

What I have done exactly was had a high speed finish surfacing rotine (waterline) but ran out of reach with standard tool so I converted it to 5x toolpath with a 10 degree tilt to get my reach with standard tool... but as i stated the 5x converted toolpath seems to be uoside down to the toolpath current workshift...
