  1. I linearize all arcs and use Advanced Look Ahead {G05.1Q1, (ON) G05.1, Q0(OFF)} on two of our FANUCS because we had the same problems. I haven't had a gouge ever since. Well, I have had some but those were my mistakes.
  2. The tool display area would show a big red X when not defining the tool correctly. And yes Randy it translated to a part on the machine. It changed the tool order and the the wrong tool started to make a chamfer. Here's where I was part of the problem, I didn't check the posted g-code. I guess I just got so used to post a program and run it. Like I said before, procede with caution guys.
  3. I opened a file that I was working on yesterday and my 45 Deg E.M. went kaboom! Not only did it go ape stuff on the 45 deg operations, it also magically changed a 1/2 FLAT E.M. into a 45 DEG chamfer tool and those toolpaths too a hit as well. Make a note that I close and open X7 many times during the day for this same reason. To catch bad tools doing bad stuff. This happened on 1st launch of X7 in the morning. I know X7 is buggy. So it has to be my fault...for using it. Proceed with caution homies. My program just made a counterbore where I wanted was a 45 chamfer.
  4. Bull nose E.M. verifying with no corner radius. I'm doing what I've always done in previous versions of Mastercam. Pick a flat e.m. and add corner radius. I hope I'm not being too dramatic for the forums.
  5. Mach Sim won't show xformed toolpaths. Period. If you really have to simulate it you have to make real toolpaths. You get good after a while. Edit: I read your post again. Seems like you already knew that
  6. Nope not yet. I'm afraid that could happen so X7 is for the easy stuff right now. I'm doing the heavy stuff on X6.
  7. OK, I just noticed that this happens to the very last operation that I'm trying to post. If I try to post one group the very last OP has the problem. If I try to post multiple groups only the last op of the very last group becomes an issue. So I'm copying the last op, ghost it and post ignoring the dialog box. In the last image you can see that after deleting Operation #16, #15 became the problem. It wasn't an issue before.
  8. re-selecting chains is not working for me.
  9. I've had this problem since day one. Always with programs that use two of the same tools, (e.g. two 3/8 END MILLS) and with one or more toolpathgroups. Just 10 minutes ago I opened a file from Friday. One of two 3/16 e.m. was dirty. I delete it from the toolpath manager, add 3/16 E.M., regenerate, and then close mastercam. Open Masterscam again and the 1st 1/36 is dirty!!!!(the one that wasn't dirty in the first place) And the kicker is that it only got dirty in one of the machine groups. Where the first time it got dirty on both groups.
  10. Now I remember, motorcityminion is right, sometimes you have to mess with the origin.
  11. do you have solids models of your fixture? if so put them all in one level
  12. Hello folks, here's one that I can't figure out. It's this warning I get when trying to post a program. I don't have depth cuts in this toolpath. Has anyone run in to this yet? If I click CANCEL it makes the bad operation dirty. I regenerate it and click post and this warning pops again. Right now I'm posting and I ignore the warning. So far I haven't had a problem on the machine. Any ideas? Thanks
  13. Maybe I'm beta and don't know it. Whohoo!! XXL shirt please!! and I could use a couple mouse pads. Thank you. P.S. I think they pulled the plug. It's not auto vaccinating anymore.
  14. Our internet at work works at the speed of congress. I guess I can download it again. After I finish this X7 part I'll close it, let it download it and use X6 in the mean time.
  15. that was the 1st place I checked but it's not there. It's not a regular browser download.
