Hi Chris, Welcome to the Forum. You might try a search on this Forum (Search Button on top of page) for Ramdisk. There are 4 results you can read about. It might help your situation. As far as opening the file in cad software only, sure it's easy it doesn't do anything near what cam software can do so you don't have any problems. Hope you don't give up.

Hi Heavy, I run MC V9SP1 on Dell Latitude C810. 1.13 Ghz,512 ram,32 mb Nvidia GeForce2Go with latest drivers. My only complaint is when running big files in Verify, it will shutdown MC on occasion for no apparent reason. I haven't tried the Ramdisk solution but it might help. HTH

Hi Mick, Generally .dat files are part of the cam software or even OS not a file of geometry or toolpaths. Solutionware Geopath and Rapid Output G-Zero both use .dat files but not for machine code. HTH

Hi, You can hit F3 to refresh the screen. Other than that it is going to be hardware related and you'll have to turn down video acceleration and try that. Somebody else might have more ideas regarding your hardware. HTH

Hi Francis, Go to your side or front cplane and then on the left menu select xform,translate,pick geo you want to move and then select method of moving your geo, polar or whatever you prefer. HTH
