i got peelmill to do it i chained the outside profile left for side slot width .285 .005 stk for finish .04 rounding rad .035 stepover

and dont forget once you get your feet wet with these toolpaths/your machine, then start applying chip thinning and watch the feedrates go UP

+100 i use the 2D HSM paths all the time they are worth taking the time to learn how to use them rather you have a HS machine or not

thanks Chris it wasnt a permissions issue re-did the config file and all is good now

when i fire up MC X6 i get error loading insert.tbl any ideas on how to fix that? TIA

yes and if you want to use any other coolant codes that is where you would put them

go in the MD under the coolant settings change "on" to "M8" you are using X style coolant if you have V9 turned off HTH

to delete a file once in the HD use the right arrow soft key and look for FDEL which is file delete type in file number hit FDEL > EXCU file is gone you can use filezilla (free) to access the files on the machines or you can PUT the file back and open in cimco or something to make changes and just re GET it HTH
