  1. In a nut shell, I just xform copied the geometry 4 times and chained it 4 times. I drilled deep enough for 4.5 parts bored them and turned the o.d. part off, turn o.d., part off, turn o.d. and part off. I left .01 on the part off side to finish on a second op.
  2. Here is a sample. It runs 4 parts at a time. I did this last week. I hope this helps. 1ST OP.MCX-7
  3. Sure can. Drill, bore, turn then part off. To make it work right you have to check the box "keep piece in active chuck" in the stock update parameters
  4. The strange thing is, if I turn off roughing and just run finish it works fine. The chain is trimmed and still nothing. What am I missing?
  5. Ever been so frustrated you cant see the forest through the trees? I don't see the overlap. What intersection did you trim? And thanks.
  6. Here is the file. It only happens on op #6. I have done everything I can think of. Re-chain, delete and redo. What gives? 1STAFTERHT.MCX-7
  7. A simple O.D. groove, just like ive done a million times and I keep getting a warning saying Cant find intersections. Ive never seen this before. Anybody know where I'm dropping the ball?
  8. Thank you Mark. I rotated everything 90° and re-chained it all, now it works much better. This is my secong program for this machine, so I gots lots to learn. Thanks again.
  9. I should note that it does not rotate in mastercam verify but it posts a lot oc c axis moves. I am also using an Icam post. 10. I am having an issue with the C axis rotating during a milling operation. The C axis does not need to rotate and I have set the axis control to NO ROTATION. But it is rotating anyfrigginway. Its just a simple cut from front view just going from right to left, no need to rotate at all. What am I missing? Ops 8-13 do it and makes no sense. Please advise. Thank you. X7 MU2 M1187190.MCX-7
  11. If you move your stock you have to reselect it every time.
  12. The guy that trained me on 4th axis work taught me to do it this way.
  13. You could just film it with your smart phone and email it to yourself, no?
  14. Ok, fair enough. Another question, How are we supposed to use the "stock model"? It seems to do absolutely nothing when I click on it to transform or rotate it into position so the next operation. Thanks.
  15. So what are good questions for the "Educational Forum"? I went to school for Master Cam, they didn't even hint on lathe. It was mostly about creating surfaces and milling. I learned lathe by trial and error and help from the forum. palr717, Your problem is in your rough parameters, check your plunge parameters.
  16. Thanks Kenneth, I'm curious , why is the stock on lathe so much more usable than mill? The lathe stock preview is excellent! I hope the developers will make some progress on this, it would be a huge time saver.
  17. I got that far, But it doesn't show up in my levels as an entity? Any way to make it a solid? Or atleast wire frame? Thanks for the reply.
