  1. Hello: Not knowing the part... but if you use the Nci (the contour/pocket etc... toolpath must be written -- I prefer to use incremental in this)... Then in the surface finish project, You also have the option of Add depths Unfortunately that is the only one that enables the "add depths" features Please let me know if you need more info...
  2. How in Mastercam lathe would one program a knurl -- groove finish (with dwell at the OD) or create a vertical line (dwell at the OD) Or is there a differrent wat of doing this ?
  3. I 've had the same issue... Can you send it to [email protected] just one thing it's 9.0 Sp1, version 9.1 is still in beta form

  8. I had the same issue with a file from V8 to V9. Here is what I did, bring it into V9, do the ramsaver, save it. Now in the toolpaths, export out the operation... Now do toolpaths, new. Now, import the toolpath operation, select your desired geometry.... regenerate Mine now works.... Windows NT 4, service pack 6
  9. Thanks, it worked great... CNc software has it logged as BUG # 21252 I'll e-mail them and tell them how to fix it You Da Man....
  10. I have found that the black / white image is the best... However, using 72 instead of 9600 or even higher, you will get a better outline. However it is still usually poor quality... I have used this atleast 100 times and still have to clean up the geometry. If you go higher you you get a mess load of more gaps an very jagged geometry...
  11. Major pain... I create a file in draft V9 and then bring it into the mill 9 software. Even though I have v9 mill configured to the correct tool offests in job set up... In draft it still defaults to Mastercam's "out of the box" default settings. Where in the draft9.cfg file can I correct this since there is not toolpath configurations in Draft.
  12. I have an entire set designed in Mastercam V9 ---send me an e-mail I'll send it to you
  13. Mastercam ( cnc software) is in beta 2 release. As a reseller of Mastercam, I believe it will be sometime in 1st quarter of next year. As for the T-shirts called CNC software at 1-860-875-5006 (Tolland, CT) or email them directly
  14. I believe Dave Thompson said it best... Our % axis wrist style machine had all kinds of issues with coming out with the correct rotational axis when playin g with the WCS. Leave the WCS to top... You'll be better off
  15. I tried that yesterday...here's the weird part 8.0 - works upgrade to 8.1.1 - doesn't work 9.0 sp1 -- doesn't work Talk to Mastercam support, said it was a bug
  16. Using Windows NT 4.0 service pack 6...How do I open Mastercam v9 (mc9) files into Mastercam 9? It gives me error message "error opening mill9.txt" Thanks,
  17. You can also use the J11, thru J13 in the "deep hole drilling" cycles. We have seen this many times, on Tree Vmc's, Cincinati, Republic Legun...etc.
  18. no in our shop but I wrote post for one of these machines that a customer of ours is currently running
  19. This Hurco (commonly referred to as the irkel) It has the ISNC format. Unfortunately the machine was transferred from Chicago to Here in Rochester. All programs in the control are in the Hurco format (1234.HD3). I need to know if someone has a sample of a square that will run. I have tried a ultimax 2 code and as well as an ultimax 4, but it wont recognize the program. This is the upgrade control with dxf option and the dual screen. Please help
  20. hello to All: Does anyone have a post processor from Mastercam to a Hurco Ultimax 3 control Thanks....
  21. option 1) use the backplot and turn on verify to see the gray area. Create a point outside of the gray area and then turn on lead in /lead out. Now turn off all features except for use entry point / exit point. option 2) It's mastercam, lie to it in the remachining dialogue, tell it is a bigger cutter (from roughing) than what it really was previously cutting.
  22. not knowing the post you are using, it allows the user to define whether the 4th axis rotates cw or ccw. The ctol value (set usually at 225) also has a lot to play with it. I use the mpfan post for everything and re-write it but for wind up I steal the post block of "pcoutrev" completely to rest at 360 degrees. Let me know if it helps........
  23. Dog guy is right.... Click on, screen, configure, NC settings, Operation defaults, defaults.df9 (for english), then on the right of the operation manger look a like page, click on job setup, set up value for tooling accordingly, remember to click on save before you exit screen, configure.... Cparish
  24. We have a customer who is using a Deckel Maho 5 axis machine for medical devices. We sold them a post from cimco integration. Steven Biehl has been great
