just checked with "support" as well ... seems to be broken at the moment... I believe it writes out to a "prm" file then it reads back in... It is now submitted as a "bug"
Thanks
Mike:
run around.. Hmmm Hmmm (you supplied no explanation of what you were looking for.. just the "Z2G" file)
As far as your "circle mill".. you have feedplane at -.812.. top of stock at "Z 0."..the depth at -.812 with multiple depth cuts at .25 deep..
so your first "Z" depth cut is at -.2025 (included in doc file Mike.doc)... I'm not sure what your trying to do in the circle mill...
I also fixed your tap cycle as well as your mill_inch.defaults so you can customize your cycles...
I wouldn't call that much of a run around

Thanks... I think we may have just lost the sale... they don't want to have to convert them one at a time......
I was hoping some had a "third" party to convert them
I had several *.cad files from Cadra... Is there a way to bring these files into Mastercam?
I'sm sure we could "IGES" or something but they have 5+ years of files... I would hate to have to export each file one at a time and then bring it into Mastercam
Please let me know
Thanks
Matt:
actually we have a customer that his communications died last week in "X2"... to his fadal we can't get it to work again (V9 works)
Legacy .. doesn't work
Mastercam communications through the editor tells us the "port is not recognized", we checked it .. port should be fine (again V9 works through the same port)... Also, system registry, (X writes which port it sees)
Any help, please advise....
create a new format statement (or look at FS 19) that is using "E" for the feedrate , please look at pfr_l
pfr_l #Format feedrate for lathe
if opcode$ = 104,
[
#Format feedrate for lathe thread
result = nwadrs(stre, feed)
result = newfs (19, feed)
]
else,
[
result = nwadrs(strf, feed)
result = newfs (18, feed)
]

seems to me I remember having something like that... Here's what I did... I copied the post blocks of transform / rotate froman new "X" condition and replaced in the "old" v8 post part.. I had a few other varible to create but it solved it... sorry I can't much more help
Its amazing, lasttuesday I went to Buffalo, from exit 48a to exit 50 was 1 hour drive, that should be about 20 mins. I got to N. Tonawanda and the sun was out, roads were dry.
Design LT (similiar to the old V9 draft) should allow this... and yes it does not require a hasp
Tspline:
If you have 5 seats on the "nethasp", if you open Mastercam 9, then open Mastercam "X", that counts as "2" licenses
Please give me a call here at the office 585/265-0160

Not as much as Oswego... 113" + before Monday, Tuesday was 12-18 inches, and Wednesday was an additonal 12
Ineed a plow when I go to a demo up there
In solidworks when you export as "IGES", you have to go to the options.. The two are as follows:
1) export as surfaces
2) export as 3d curves
unfortunately, you don't get both all at once
Bogus mill:
Wow you have actually got a "bridgeport" to communicate fromMastercam (V9 or "X")... I have been doing this for 11 years... and never never got Mastercam to communicate with a "Boss" control
What's you secret...
