I go to manual entry click Change NCI
Go into your contour paramaters & not into the manual entry to force the tool change...
Just tried it in here with your file & it posted fine.

hacsta,
I just made a short(contour) program using the same tool with the force tool change in there... It is working for me. I don't use the mpmaster post on a regular basis, but that's what I used now. You're more than welcome to send me your file and I'll take a look @ it. Maybe you could also send the copy of the .nc file also.
Thanks,
Rob

Same problem here... A way around it, just like you said earlier set WCS prior to toolpathing.
Speaking of WCS... I try to save & import my WCS, but sometimes (most of the time) MC crashes. I have the latest patches & windows up to date. I save the WCS but delete the geo. for it (try to keep the files small). Is there a better way? Is there another way?

Now open the operation, click TC plane on the first tab, the box with WFO (at bottom left) is grayed out, at -1 instead of 0 or 1 or 2 like the contour/pocketing paths.
In the operation manualy select your Tplane as the system view 1, and the same for the Cplane (this will ungrey? your box. Why this happens? I don't know yet. I just have had the same problem this morning though on a couple of operations. It's working fine now.

Rob this should be active if you are using a WCS like he was stated he was using.
Correct... Unless it is a named Tplane & Cplane. Than by default WCS box gets unchecked.

I have tried to re-create your problem with a simple program I've made, but I can't. Double check all your paramaters. Pay attention to all your planes... Post the file on the FTP site if possible... I'm sure someone will help you (I don't have access).
Good Luck.

You may want to look at the slot milling toolpath. ...or you could see if contour with a constant ramp will work for you. It's usually pretty good on the tools giving them constant load.

RAJ, I know what you mean... It seems like a simple concept. The software does not know the difference though between tapped, drilled or reamed hole (.250 dia. is still .250). I believe there should be a standard that everyone should work with, but it will never happen because CAD designers could care less about the CAM aspect. If I have a lot of different holes with different operations done to them I don't work off the solid, but squash the file and change the properties of my arcs ( color, level, or dia.) and take it from there.

What does it show when you press alt+v?
Alt V will only show you V9 and the date.. It won't show any Service Packs. Unless you remember what was released when.....
When you first start Mcam pay attention to the screen. It will say than what you're running.

The shop is looking into purchasing one of these (Vertical Mycenter 5X) with a pallet changer & 50 taper. I believe the control is Fanuc 16i.Does anyone work with these? Any and all comments will be appreciated.
