  1. I have a older Fanuc 18i control (2001). But it will do helix arcs in regular mode, but not in high speed mode. Am I doing somethign wrong?
  2. Using High Speed code G5 P10000 does not like Helix 3D arcs, I need to be able to use line to line code instead but I don't see a dialog box that allows me to use line to line instead of arcs. Is there a work around for this? Thanks in advance
  3. Figured it out, I had a shank diameter on the tool parameter page. When I took that out and made it the same as the "neck" diameter it worked. Thanks for all your replies.
  4. It is a 3D type cut. I have a dialog boxes that keep popping up. One is "Tapered lollipop tool shape not supported - straight shoulder lollipop tool will be used" My lollipop is defined with a very slight taper, If I don't use a taper it becomes a ball mill.
  5. Im trying to do an undercut for the first time. I did a search and found alot of help and direction. I have a lolipop defined and using auto, but as my search on this topic says to allow for undercut, I can't seem to find it. I'm using Surface finish contour.
  6. On Nhasp dialog box your local PC should have the Hasp/Local checked on. Not the Nethasp/network. If you have the later check your PC is looking for the hasp on the network when your PC is the network. I had my PC be the network and had problems all the time. So we finally bought a cheap desktop computor and sits in the backroom and works great with no issues.
  7. Looks like it was a needed regen, there was no RED X just assumed it was good to go. Geez what a way to start my Monday....... Thanks
  8. Using 2D Dynamic milling I put in 500 ipm in the back feed rate dialog box. It posts out F100.00 instead of F500.00. The machine definition max feedrate is 500.0 but still post out 100.0. What do I need to do to get it to post out at 500.0 ipm? Using the editor to change all feedrates to 500.0 is not a good option. Thanks in advance.
  9. Just recieved a job machining on Sintered Metal, FX-1005-40 is the spec call out if that means anything. Does anyone have any experience with machining sintered metal that could shed a little light on a new to me machining?
  10. Spaceball uplugged and it stop. I will try to recalbrate it. Thanks
  11. Just happened this morning but working on the part goemtery with the mouse or anything with the mouse in the active window my geometry is moving, drifting. I can stop it with my space ball but next time I do somthing wiht the mouse in that active window it starts drifing again. Is my mouse bad? Does not do this in Inventor?
  12. Thanks JP, That makes sense, I will try that.
  13. Using the system Config to direct tool libaries to our network system for all users to access from. I point the tool libary to go onto the network and then save the config file. When I go to the tool libary it always goes back to the local drive. Going back to the system config and look at the file location it even says it points to the network. The only way I could get it to go to the network was to delete the file in the C: local drive and then it forced it to go to the network. Installed X6 and will need to update 11 programmers directive to use the network I'm really not looking forward to delete the local drives tool libaries to force it to go to the network. Is there a workaround for this? Thanks in Advance
  14. Create boundary c-hook gives you more accurate profile +1
  15. Have 11 programers here. All the same CD, MD, Post, and tool libraies on the network. Gets backed up every day too.
  16. Okay Thanks Guys, I didn't think so but thought I would look into it.
  17. We have 11 programmers here and now that X6 is out I want to streamline MasterCam for all users. Is it possible to load MasterCam onto the network drives?
  18. I did notice one change was the End point Check box was Round end point- break arc on Failure and Greyman had Round End Point- arc to generated point on failure. I made the change and see what happens. Thank You Greyman!!
  19. The post I'm using is an modified Fadal 4ax post.
  20. We have a new to us Fadal with the old CNC 88HS control. Although we have a post that works for the most part, but had a situation that the arcs did not flow like the Verifier or Blackplot. What are your experinces with the arc settings in the Control Definitions for this control. I have mine set at Arc Center type set at :Delta start to center Arc breaks set at :Don't break arcs. Any help would be appriciated. Thanks in advance.
  21. Oh yeah. Musta been a brain fart. Thanks
  22. Man I thought I did this before and for the light of me I can't remeber how I did it. I want to project a curve onto a surface. What am I missing. Thanks in advance.
  23. Heard a rumor that X6 will not run on the XP operating system, hope this is not true, our IS department will not implement Win 7 for another year and half. I just want an argument for our IS department us upgrade to Win7
