Fanuc based control, will run on any of them,
but you must change Machine settings in post if you are using canned cycles, to Old type (6T) from New (OT+) cycle formats.

Talked this through with reseller this morning.
His worked ok and had no trouble because he had never expanded a box, as soon as he expanded one on trying to repeat had the same- defaulted to last used setting. He is reporting as issue. Therefore if you have never expanded it will function ok.
Getting the same here John, first time 0,0,0
then seems to default to last used input. not 0,0,0.
Also, seems the more you use it the stranger the result.
If you would like to revert to the default colours,
Settings/Config/Merge/(initial Met/English) and just check colours tab.
Best to save your own config first so you have the option to go back.
I removed a copy of ver 9 demo from my system, now I am unable to get my levels to work in X,
get warning Missing Member.V9 levels come up in grey and white stripes but nothing in X.I understand that X shares these levels files, anyone know how to fix?
Thanks.Geo
For my part this does have a happy ending.
I was driving both myself, my reseller and you nuts with my nc file problems. I uninstalled all of X including registry entries. Reinstalled, updated to MR1/SP2 and- perfect no trouble at all. Cant find one thing wrong with X , best software on the market....
Some of you took a dislike to how I wrote my little story, please bear in mind it was intended for a control far more better than a simple Fanuc...

I have had a similar problem. I post the programe OK, run a component find the optimum speed and speed ( Drilling 800 or so holes in Stainless )go back to the change speed and feed parameters. Send to machine again, and it has reverted to the old settings.
I will watch the thread and see if anybody can explain whats happening, but I have a feeling its my fault. It can't be X.

Slowly the message might be sinking in.
For 95% of users the Software is working great.I fall into the other 5%. I spent 4/5 hours today, on the phone with my reseller, fixing a print related bug.
Now, I paid for this Software with my own hard cash. I have every right to vent my frustrations through humour. And Toolman, if I went about it the other way im sure you would not like it.I know that it will all be better soon, but in the meantime please dont pretend its my fault.
George.
Oh well.
Just thought it might make someone laugh.
Very sorry to any one it upset.
Pete. I said before I was very impressed with the effort you had put into VX.

Its Pommy humour.

Meet Mike, he has a 2 year old V9,he has decided to vist the local CNC Autos showroom to have a look at the new VX.
Spotted by the salesman as he enters the shop, the salesman says hey I see you still have an old V9,yes said Mike I love it, nice drive no trouble at all.It only took a few moments for Mike to part with a pile of cash, then to be told he would have to wait a few months for the new car to arrive, but not to worry he could carry on driving his old one until then.Time past then the new car arrived. Great news he could also keep his old car. But was told he would have to remove the Steering wheel, the lights and the Tyres. Why he asked? Well we supply you with a book on how to modify them to fit the VX, what it dont come with a steering wheel, he asked the salesman. Well we have one in the trunk but but its the wrong size. and you are use to your old one so it will be better.
He worked all day with the book and his tool kit and got it going. Right said Mike im going for a drive now, driving along the road he saw his friend I will sound my horn let him see my new car, oh """"" the whole front caught fire. After the fire fighters had put the fire out he rang the salesman, not to worry he said we are bringing a fix out for the front end and it will be fitted with a fire extinguisher. The day the tyres whent flat they said they would lend him a foot pump until they had a patch for the Tyres.
Now if your still with me, Mike is a bit Slowwww.
who would do a thing like that....
Now to the whole point.
I have 3 simple pieces I need a simple contour on one end and a few holes drilled. That will only take a few moments to do. Follow the plan draw it out the holes are a bit tight so lets backplot and see how they run? Well cant see how they run because you cant slow the backplot down if you try it just dances backwards and forwards for half the day. OK skip that, lets do a print thats easy press print and off we go. No not so simple I pressed a button before it had printed and the whole darn thing froze solid, forgot to save such a simple drawing and programme, so do it all over again. skip the printimg. So lets send it to the machine, well after 3 attemps it was done. The old V9 had Cimco to DNC and it worked well. My new VX works sometimes.
Im begining to feel like Mike.
No I dont want to know fixes and tweeks, im fed up with having my head under the bonnet all weekend, I just want this expensive software to drive me down the road.
Or maybe attach the Software to a long lenght of bar stock and wander down to the show room see if I can fit it inside the salesman.
Well have reloaded the lathe demo, and X works again.
So what the hell is going on.
MC wont let you remove any MC versions and still use X. Dont sound right to me. Anybody else found this or is it just me...
