Had same problem as you Bendon. I had ad-aware and hijack this but they didn't do the trick. So now i have downloaded cwshedder and set Moilla as my web browser and so far so good. Good topic by the way I have been fighting this about 2 months and hopefully its over. Mine kept defaulting to--> yoursearch.cc
no problems hear but you sure have to quote it around or you end up paying out the a$$. I don't know how they can quote 3500. for stock and i tell them they were to high and all of a sudden they come back at 2550.00
should be ok the .5 tool could be pushed alot harder. And you'll be pushing the 1/16 pretty good. You could always push the big cutter harder and make up the time on for the little cutter. (If you start breaking tools) Make sure you use coolant.
The new mazak nexus series are priced real resonable and are very well built, fast machines. We have a quick turn 20 hp and it will move stock and very easy to program.
Yeah I finally found what you guys are talking about. That is going to save me some serious cranking on the hand machines. I much appreciate the help and my carpal tunnel free wrists(nock on wood) thank you to.
I tried setting it to the angle it follows the profile of the part but i can't get anything that limits the depth of each pass. The tool heads for the back of the hole on each pass which would cause a collision with the tapered part of my holder. If you could put a file with what your doing on the ftp it would be great. I would put something up but i only have the demo disk at home this weekend. Thanks
I did a search but didn't find anything on this.
Is there a switch or setting that makes roughing The id of a part step its way to the back of an id. We do a ton of cone shaped id's and common depths are 4 inches with a say half inch hole at the back and a 1.5 hole at the front. I like to use a .375 bar with a extended tapered holder. This way the bar cuts it own clearance as it works its way to the back of the hole. I just got a mazak and it has a cycle like this. But it would save me a ton of drillng if i could do this on my other machine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
yeah we have a vf-5 with 10k and highspeed. Nice machine for the money. I also prefer the mpmaster post from this site. Works well without editing and easy to edit if need be
Yeah i love my type of work also. But it is a kinda kick in the a#$ when my buddy that drives for ups is maiking 26 an hour and full bennies. Overtime for anything over eight hours and eight hours pay if he gets finished early. 30 years and he gets 3grand a month pension the rest of his life. Gets on your nerves when he shows up at the shop to drop of a damn box with his shorts on.
I had the same problem this week but i had set depths to absolute and no finish pass. Are these the reason i was geting gouges on my part? If it is, an explantion of why it does or recommened settings would be greatly appreciated.
Gary
yes they are top notch. One came up and spent the entire day with me just last Friday. Hell he even bought lunch. If i new i could give names i would. Rxellent group down there.
Yep its so slow I thought about trying to hack into the your ftp Jay but it turns out it would be faster to drive to Cali and just take the server home with me, download your info and drive it back to ya.
yes mechanical desktop shows the constraining dimensions also. I do not no of any programs that auto dim in a neat and orderly manner. If there is a way I would LOVE to hear about it.
We cut alot of ss hear. Sounds like 17-4 ph to me. Inserted cutters and lots of coolant works good. You need either enough air or coolant pressure to move the chips out of the way.
