  1. Sorry, I stopped reading your post at X9. Guess I need to do a better job of ensuring my posts are original.
  2. I gave this a go trying to use some of Mastercams existing tangent functions, as Josh said...always more than one way in Mastercam
  3. I had this issue the other day too. Not 100% on the solution but what I did was instead of adding fixtures by level I added the fixtures with solid selection.
  4. What version? Where are you trying to launch from?
  5. Here's the assembled part, two pieces assembled together but rotated 60 degrees from each other. The file above is a variation of the original here...
  6. Just to clarify...yes we (camInstructor) helped him with this file. We have an option in our courses that allow you to 'Ask the Instructor'. As much as we prefer you come to us for help first, no problem in getting other ideas/input from forums.
  7. Just pointing out specs here... RTX 6000 - OpenGL 4.6, 24GB Ram, 4608 Cuda $4000 RTX 4000 - OpenGL 4.6, 8GB Ram, 2304 Cuda $900 RTX 3090 - OpenGL 4.6, 24GB Ram, 10496 Cuda $1500 RTX 3080 - OpenGL 4.6, 10GB Ram, 8704 Cuda $700 Specs don't tell the whole story buy seems like the new 3080 will give the Quadra 4000 a run if not beat it, while the 3090 looks a lot better than the Quadro 6000 for less than half the price. Yes this is only hardware specs, ram type may vary (ECC), and drivers may vary as well, at the very least, this is interesting. If a new Quadro line is coming, I cannot wait to see what those numbers look like.
  8. I have a system with a GTX 1650 and it works. If 'works' is good enough that's up to you. What I want to know now is if the new RTX 30 series cards are worth the buy. These cards are a huge jump in performance. The 3080 and 3090 are benchmarking above the Quadro RTX 6000...for 1/6 the price. Unless a new Quadro series is on the horizon???
  9. Under 50% radius for the helix the selected cut direction controls the helix direction. Seems once you go over 50% , the direction changes. I guess since you're in a full slot condition the direction isn't really important? Still, not sure why it would flip though.
  10. Why not just use Circle Mill with an Absolute retract? or have I missed the reason why Contour is being used?
  11. Just thought I'd chime in since I might have something to do with that lesson. The problem is your solid. Without seeing how you modeled it in Fusion, I'd only be guessing but if I remove the feature you're having problems with and remodel in Mastercam, no problems. I can only guess the model in Fusion, that feature is not parallel with the face?? Again, only guessing. Besides, this is a Mastercam course....what are you doing in Fusion j/k
