  1. Feedrates or tool path parameters? I always put my speed and feed in the tool page not the dialog path in the tool path parameters page. In the configuration setting there is an option for recalculate hsm defaults. I think this is what you are looking for. I don't remember the exact page but its there somewhere.
  2. They work great when using a longer endmill . you don't need to worry about it loading up in the corners. My only gripe with the 2d high speed is if you are roughing and OD of a part with bosses on it , it tends to radius off the part and come back close to keep the travel distance down. With a back feedrate of 500 or 750 the machine is slowing down to maintain the precision. On the matsuura I usually go to r5 precision because lower and you start to hear the direction changes in the ball screw. Our machine with linear motors is smooth a pie though.
  3. We have a ps95 with a professional p control. I would not recommend that control.

  5. Thanks, I had 2 paths for facing it parallel so it wasn't too bad. Luckily the part had no holes outside of the travel envelope. It probably only will come up once and a while but its nice to know we could do it if needed. I'll have to try that in camplete when I have some free time.
  6. I usually turn the Maxima ark up to 5,000 and hit the save button . Bump up the tolerance, but not more than the stock you're leaving
  7. I agree,but convincing the boss is another story. We minimize thru spindle coolant and I added an m16 in camplete to override the chassis rinse.
  8. Had this issue with a .02 mm true pos. All sides machined. All holes were being bored Matsurra guy came down said machine is fine. Thermal growth is the problem. Thru spindle collant will heat the enclosure 10 degrees or more. Run the coolant low, fill it up with cold water and watch it shift on you, lol Ended up putting an moo and indicating the part for each piece using the g54.4 active workpiece function. They usually come in at 10 to 15 micron true pos

  10. I believe its 1815. For motor origin Once you switch it to 1 it prompts you to shut it off. Just confirm in the book. If you want 2nd or third reference point it may be near 1320(soft limit parameters) Limit
  11. I had a fixture to make that was too big for our mx520 trunion machine. The machine has more travel in x- direction I selected 3axis in the rotary tab, but we use camplete posting software and it is not being imported correctly. To be clear the machine moves to y0 then stays there while xzc do the moving So I took a 4 axis generic post and made the rotary rotate about z and got a path to post on the x+ side. I played with the home position and start angle in the machine def but it made no difference. So I was able to butcher thru it by programing it 180 deg transform in z and using the tilting work plane at the machine to rotate it back. Posting a 180 degree z rotation did not work though. I had to take the first rotary move and add 180deg to it to get the machine to stay at y0 position. This worked, but means each tool needs its TWP rotation value entered by hand. I browsed thru the post and machine def and can't find a way to force it to stay x- Thanks Leon
