  1. Hi Guys I was making Solids from Surface files everyday all day for 3 months straight. Then today I can't, I get this error: Even the Lowliest 3 surface tube Made in MC off two circles. Fails !? I ran an install repair , no change, Do I need to re register the Parasolid kernel or something? Thanks for any insight here! Tony
  2. Hi Guy's Sadly I cant use Tools #'s sequentially I have to run through the Machines tool magazines and see what's available. So my MC Tool #'s right out of the gate are Whacked out . When I finally change them before I post The look great in MC and don't show up in the posted Code !?! Even 1 solo operation and a solo 2D toolpath. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks ! Tony
  3. Late arrival here...Anything Lenovo Think pad with a Nvidia chipset. And your good for home. I ran a $ 5,000. new, Dell precision whatever in 2010 And a $5,000. + new Sager last year and guess what my lowly Lenovo T61 think pad "For use at home" costing me $400.00 used off ebay STILL in 2014 gets it done. Sure the Dell and Sager rocked! on running multiple sessions of SW and MC etc. but for home on a budget Think pad with a Nvidia Video card.
  4. Enter on the left Button / Undo on the right .
  5. Thanks guys ! Thad I'm all ears on the Resource hacker ! What do I have to do !?!
  6. Hi Guys Is there anyway to resize my tool manager window in my toolpath screen ? I know there are 3 options Details,Lg. or Sm. icons. No matter what I have to use the sliders to see what's what . Can't I just resize the window by dragging the corner of it Or ? Thanks ! Tony
  7. Holding Alt turns my middle mouse wheel into Spin since I have "Middle mouse wheel set to Pan" checked in my .Cfg (Your both right) !
  8. 4) = Left and right Click then Drag give different solutions, Check that one off
  9. Hi guys Just a couple if X7 questions that others might have already figured out. 1) When I run Verify and My "Model" is a 3d box for the stock but a Full blown. DXF Sheet With 50,000 entities etc. I see the whole mess in Verify ? Even if I put the dxf on another level and turn it off etc. Verify shows it. How do I keep from seeing it in Verifyand only see my Box stock model ? 2) Spin dynamically in MC / Pan with middle mouse & Spin in Verify Pan with middle mouse button ? Currently I have Pan on Middle mouse button on in my .cfg but then I cant spin in Verify !? Is there a way to Spin and Pan in both MC and Verify ? 3) 2D champhering , In previous and now X7 I get the "Tool is to small to create champher, maximum Champher allowed will be generated" or something like that. Not MC's fault but What am I doing wrong ? My tool is a 45 deg cutter defined .005 at the bottom all the way at 45 deg to a .500 shank. (As a taper cutter or a Champher tool I can't recall) A .030 champher no matter what over hang I set the tool goes -.0025 deep. I have been fudging my Z at the control for years. 4) In X7 when I drag drill points from one op to another I only get the prompt " Retain depths or whatever" I no longer get "Merge or Replace 1'st" I swear in X6 and back it used to ask me about replacing and merging also Is there a setting I missed to get the full choice(s) prompt ? Thanks everyone for any help Tony
  10. I didn't get an error and it put the tools it updated into Mcam7 Folder. Someone will have an answer for you on Monday , the update folder should work.
  11. I think once there converted to X7 they become a .tooldb So your all set. I can only use my X6 .tooldb files in X7.
  12. Too late G But while your here I changed coolant options from M08 etc. to the Mazaks M50/ M51 and renamed mist to Air etc. But it Hosed all my coolant settings in my tool libraries ? Or updating the folder from X6 to 7 did? But I now have to edit every tool and call out the coolant settings Is there a "Batch way of doing this" ? Thanks G Tony
  13. I somehow pulled it off doing this from X5 to X6 to my resellers support guys amazement ! It was the long way around believe me Not the end of the world, i'll start over on this pc at home Then shove these built from scratch in X7 files into the work pc Monday a.m. Thanks ! EDIT: Done, it's all good
  14. Hi guys I put my X6 mtb,kmp and cfg into the shops X7 PC and loaded X7 at home . (X7 16.1.1.30 ) But now Verify won't launch ? (It Did Work with all the stock defaults ) Back plot still work's now. Both pc's are looking for some X6 files? Something is pointing to them in My: Cfg ? Updated x6 tools? Mill inch default ? Operations ? Kmp ? Mtb ? I'm guessing I will have to put on file back at a time to see which one it is. OR run install repair and pain stakiningly change one think at a time in each Area cfg/mtb/kmp on and on while checking to see if my verify still launches. Thank you as always for any help Tony
  15. Besides the Op's , I have all sides of a set of parts set up with my View sheets ( named levels -WCS Tool plane C plane etc). I import my Geo Save as the new job # etc. then right out of the gate I assign them to there levels and start setting origins. My limitation is the tool magazine in the machines. My template or file name(s) would go like this (Mold Stuff) A Side A Side 2 Plate A Side 3 Plate B Side B Side 2 plate E.J. Box E.J. Assm.
  16. Kennametal I used a "Chip break Cycle" with Air and it would knock out C'bores in less then 10 seconds each 1/4 " to 5/8 " C'bores in P-20 & 420 SS (Mold Bases) I could never go back
  17. Thanks Henk ! I'll give that a try in the future .
  18. I am not allowed to use any arc's or Helix moves whatsoever. That way out of the blue we never get this problem. Everything is set to .0001 and we post it from there. Miles of Code and Crunch time but we never have to worry about anything. I disagree with this theory but as the owner says "I know what works"
  19. Thanks Dwain I'm getting it narrowed down Now they want...Skewed work pieces (off the center of the pallet to be user defined)...and...and... I actually enjoy this stuff. I'll let you know how it all turns out Renishaw probe
  20. Hi Guy's Our probing is about 75% where we want it with our Mikron / TNC 530 We currently do a pallet call and then Run a probing cycle to capture X & Y . The Z is based on The Pallet Chuck being Z 0.000 The probe touches off on the top of the Block and add's that amount, instead of zeroing it as the new Z 0.000. What Cycle Subtracts that exactt # or ? I will post the cycles were using tomorrow as I am home now. Thank You in Advance Tony
  21. Ron is the way to go I run a VCE 1000 and an HSM 300 Graphite master both tied to Pallet systems. The 3 axis VCE 1000 loads pallets with Full size Kurt Vices and the HSM loads 50 Erowa EDM Holders. Like all of us were not even scratching the surface of what this Controller can do. We just use it for our daily application and that's it, A rep at the IMTS said that's what everyone does
  22. That's what I run. There is no D or H value just the Tool #. Scary but easy editing of tool #'s. You dump the program 123456789101112.H into the controller via (TNC Remote Software) And then call it up in the Control "Run Full Seq." If your lasering in your tools that's another page, if your running pallets that's the program you call when editing It to run your .H program with each pallet. If your.... If your... If you.... Accept when... I'm here, let me know what you need, use it every day... Tony
  23. Make an edge curve where you want the vent to run from the P/L etc. Project the edge curve up somewhere off the part 2D contour the toolpath THEN make a Project Finish toolpath and Pick the 2D toolpath use the method "NCI" check box and pick the 3D surfaces on the Mold To project the Previous path unto Boom Shaka Laka
