Couodnt find it , the dialouge isnt where itbis in X9"s cfg
G also I dont want to see bolt cirle in points or turn profile in shapes
In the customize dialoge they are greyed out so I cant remove them ?
So I have to remove the entire points and shaoes panel then build my own only now without bolt circle?
Thanks G
Draw a flat surf at the max z level and pick Flats in the sfc T.P.dialogue
Or go 2d contour to nail the straight wall then go sfc or flowline to catch the angled area or waterline....or
, sf parallel ...
MC is "fighting it out in the trenches" to get it done.
Remember what works
and as the same shapes come back around you got it covered...
High end software $30,000. @ $5,000 a year maint. knocks it right out .....
Hi Guys (and Kathy & Jo)
Installed MC2017 and am starting the process of ditching all the icons of stuff I already use as a short cut etc.
"HIDE / UNHIDE" Icon
don't need it I have Alt E ingrained into my brain...
Beginning screen color BLACK, Ending color BLACK...
and so it goes...
Any short cuts or snags...post 'em here lol
Onezies and twozies I make Dummy moves.
I just make a "Fake " drill point etc.
operation to get the tool up and around and back from the
Bogey man. Conversational Lathe action, I key in the home ref #'s so the tool just makes it
Between the stock and the Center/Tailstock .

In Chi town it goes as :
You call your service guys that have been "bandaid ing" your machine keeping it going
and say take whatever you want...it's going.
(They cut the controller off and rip out the cards from the cabinet).
Next the scrap guy comes in with there own "Rigging" just like when your machine was moved in day one
and they take it away for free.
Yeah they will get rid of it for free , that's it.
If your buying a new machine from someone they will take your old machine away at the same time "For free".
I was able to outright sell a few clunkers to the cnc repair guy that serviced them (bandaid)
For $500.00 a piece, We had a pizza party for 172 people.
I had to delete the entire default file and bring in the one off the install disc.
( then bring in a file with a yon of ops open esch toolpath and save as default)
Thanks G !!!
Shuts down 2 seconds after I select sfc as a toolpath.
Tried a new user, no luck
Tried an exsisting file with one op a sfc
From weeks past.
And it Doesnt crash !
I can no longer use surface finish contour.
As soon as I pick it as a toolpath ut crashes and the whole X8 session is gone.
Not even an error report pop up.
Single session open
1 tiny surface on screen total
( never gets past the name nc file, i see that for a second though)
Reboot pc
Ran repair
Nothing helps.
Any ideas ?
Thanks
Tony
I save the tool list from a part into the tool library and open it in the next job similar to draw my tools from since there already in the magazine.
"That's all I got"
Feeling Diminished in the Midwest...lol
Right click on a finished part Import / export operations (Name it , you'll get the hang of it)
With the next similar new part Right click Import / export operation and it come right in.
Red ex to get out of the import or you will bring in the same paths twice...you'll get the hang of it..
I think this is what your looking for.
In your config. there is a setting HS lock feed rates , un check it and save your .cfg
Do a search here for lock feed rates there are screenshots somewhere in here.
Another way is to draw it , "Create fillet *.* original cutter size dia.
Draw it in another color so you can see it easily.
Like Jlw says above
Do you want to see how much stock is left and or use the geometry to drive another toolpath to pick out the leftover stock ?
