  1. I have a mill.set that only gives you the program name, number, tool # description and the Max Z depth of that tool. Message me if you want it.
  2. I just bought another Lenovo a month ago online to run Win 8.1 64bit stuff. It is Brand new in the box but was sold to me as used from a Pawn shop in Mississippi. (If anyone here lives in Mississippi and is missing a Lenovo laptop I apologize )
  3. Jason _ What Brian said, not to mention there right down the street from you... and me...And Brian...and Creative...and....
  4. Open up an older file that you used when you set them, see if they are showing there. If so you have solved 1/2 your mystery
  5. What kind of machine controller? Anything Decent, Program it at 300 ipm, figure out the RPM, Polished Carbide Tool, Peel mill, stepover it bigger and bigger until you get the cycle time your Thirsting for. leave stock on the walls (Experiment how much to leave to avoid Chipping the paint) Start Big / far away. Then Blow through both diameters (I.D. & O.D. ) Climb milling only, up off the floor by a few un noticeable Z's like .003. As Told to me in 1988 "Use your head that's what God gave it to you for, experiment, listen, watch" !
  6. Awesome job Colin I got just what I needed out of the Go To meeting and learned a bunch more ! Thanks again Tony
  7. I have been editing and tweaking my Mill.set since V9 but I have never been able to get a duplicate tool ? / only post the deepest negative Z value tool out of it !?!
  8. If I recall your telling the machine its in another country. The service guy set it up for us every time. Your on the right path, it's out there.
  9. Yes we did w/ X4 (Running Makinos and Mazaks now X7) PM me with an email address and i'll send you an explanation etc. Tony
  10. I'll be there one day most likely midweek As it gets closer I'll confirm a date
  11. 5) You can rename the planes in SW i.e. MC Top is SW Front (Guessing from home right now), just rename SW Front to Top etc. It's all on you Tube. under SW Templates / planes etc.
  12. Yes, the drilling cycles and boring cycles are way out in the weeds (Nowhere near reality). Some controllers once loaded with your program can give you the true run time. 6 Hrs wow. you need to upload a Z2G. or "zip to go" of the X6 file here so we can look at it. Welcome !
  13. Never Docked a Sagor or knew if you even could ?, The Dell Precision DID dock very well. I need Power a.k.a. CAD and CAM all crunching at the same time with multiple sessions open in each. Only Sagor could do this.
  14. Out of one large piece of stock cut you two stock pieces with a dummy toolpath? and there you have one that's really one?
  15. I used a spiffy brand new Dell 6600 and it choked on MC with massive Regen times just like you said No matter what I did (OS switch, blah, blah, blah gave it to my reseller to monkey with etc.) , it Hated MC. Then I got a Sagor I could convert a 50+ meg.Step to a .X_T in SW while regening .002 stepover toolpaths in MC It has that kind of Power. Big Bucks. I ran a higher end Lenovo in 2012 ($2,000) and it was twice as fast as the Dell Precision with X6 !?! But I coudn't run UG CAD and crunch toolpaths in MC at the same time. That's it Good Luck
  16. +1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 (LOL) ! "You need to run the spindle at its programmed rpm " till its at thermal expansion Every Tool Change Along The Way. There is a parameter" Cycle dispersion" (SP)? Where if ANYTHING dust, carbon, vapor ,whatever gets sights of the Beam it will Stop the whole show and it won't allow the tool to carry on and in my case Won't Run All Night Unattended. (Blum / Mikron HSM) MOLDS As stated in threads previous "There is a price" for .0002 / .0001 in headaches but People FREAK when they see the finished product Electrodes look like "Molded Plastic" Hard milled Steel looks like something you would find on A U.F.O. on Unsolved Mysteries.
  17. #1) $ DON'T BUILD IT IN DUPAGE or CROOK COUNTY ILLINOIS !! $ (Lol Bob)
  18. Honestly My first three years were in a shop just like that also. Nobody would hire me because I had no experience. We had a small window air conditioner in one of the garage door panels and anytime you had to load in steel or load out a delivery you "Lost all the progress" That little air conditioner had made. Oh yeah, tee shirt, shorts, along with a shop apron & boots.
  19. I did a Total House cleaning Every folder/ Reg edit / Then a re install. X7 Now reads on start up " Blah , Blah Blah, For the First time (That's a Clean install) ! I can now create a solid from surfaces. The second I Shove my renamed "My Xcam7 & My Xcam7 shared into there locations I'm back to square 1 No Solids from Surf's. Long story short. It's the .CFG File only I had to keep the default and just "Re answer the Questions, Re answer them the exactly as I had them to begin with Before and During the whole I can't make a solid from a surface . Back making Solids from Surfs again. Why don't I just Import a Parasolid etc. like the rest of the 21st Century ?!? Are Eng. comes from Pro E, version.? and the Guy can only give me .IGES or as they say an "I GUESS"
