Also you could create a solid of your surface then in file/converters/stl/write ascii and save it on data folder, you will get an stl file.
After from verify/configure, check files and choose your previously saved files in stl format
I usually keep the same driver until i make an update on mastercam (or another software).
Also if i was upgrading my system.
I am using FX1400 nvidia video card (pretty old) but still working good even with X3MU1.
So i don't need to upgrade my driver.

Thank you for logging this issue.
Sorry that will delete files from 'temp' folder only.
The following command should be used instead
RMDIR /S/Q C:McamX3commontemp
md C:McamX3commontemp
/s: include all subdirectories
/q: will NOT prompt before delete
That will completely delete 'temp' folder without prompting and ask question if you want to delete or not in each folder.
And make new directory called 'temp'.
Temporally process could be using a script file like batch file and execute "del C:McamX3commontemp*.*" inside.
So by executing this file will erase the file in the specified path.
Mike,
Did you answered 'YES' when asked if you have move than one folder from the imported file?
On my computer, it doesn't mix it up.
Hope, it help...

Trying to create a section cut thru a imported parasolid If trying this for layout drawing purpose
What i usually do is a solid/trim (where i want the section done), then from that new solid i create the layout the result is very good
Sorry, i misunderstood the question.
What Eric said is better.

First go to config / start/exit / set start up product to design.
it should do what your asking for.
I had a similar problem before, we (my reseller and QC of mastercam) found that my path in the default.config file was wrong.
I you open 'default.config' file you should see the path from your actual installation. Yours is probably set to your old installation. You need to set them at your actual installation.
The best way i found is using subprogram for each tool, then i create two different main, one for the setup and the other for production.
So wathever modification i do as implementation, it always good for both production and setup.
Also, when using two different machine for each operation, i can optimise each main program from the machine.

...that worked better in older versions.X2MR2SP1 is doing the samething as you described before.
I have never realized it before because i usually work with 3d and make the drafting directly onto the solid.
I don't see the advantage to make the drafting somewhere else than on the solid
Just a tips, if you need to make a straight section view from your solid.
Using straight section option will give you the same result as projection of a line onto the solid.
What i usually do is a solid/trim (where i want the section done), then from that new solid i create the layout the result is very good
I know it's a bit late for the answer, but this morning i had this message 'No Matching Op File' on file open and after merging files also.
I did a search and found many thread regarding this issue and tried many thing to fix this but no luck.
I found that when i open a session of mastercam by clicking directly on the mcx (file A), it seem that i have 'No Matching Op File' message when i try to merge another file that contain solid entities (file .
If i open a mastercam session (not part file) then in mastercam i click on 'open' the same file (file A) and then i merge the other file (file i have no problem and no message.
It seem to be in this workaround.
Any other people had this issue? or am i wrong?
Any other idea are welcom!
Thanks for the help.
After roughing process.
I would finish the wall on 2d contour no ramp multiple Z depth cut
with a lead in/out
w/perp-line .050
w/arc rad 400% sweep 2deg
using enter/exit at midpoint in closed contour
That will make the entry and exit very smooth.
I made a lot of part for microwave where no mark are allowed.
For aluminium it came out great
