Chamfering 45 degree Wall Around All Four Corners of a Blocks Face

Recommended Posts

I have to use a 1/2 inch ball endmill to chamfer a .25 x 45 deg wall. I've tried a couple operations but so far the best is surface finish contour, but its doesn't look right. Any one have any suggestions?

I need to go from the bottom to the top as well.

surface finish contour should be ok...

If you ask for a file or a picture it is okay. I do it and I am racist against Asian's? Gotcha the old don't do as I say and do and then call someone something because they use reasonable methods to get an understanding of a problem just like you are doing here? People call me the crazy person in the room funny when others do the same exact things and it is totally acceptable.

If they have to be mitered, the angle is a funny 77 something degrees on the corners. Years ago, we had a tool ground just for this.

But that said, flowline, waterline, contour with angle, 2D swept all will work

Why not 2D swept?
