4000 flx spaceball

I have ended up with a 4000 flx spaceball, it came with a IBM intellistation that I brought I cant get on with it does anyone use one? I am not attempting to sell it via the forum,just wondered if it was worth anything.or should I use it as an ashtray....

If you have the software for it, you may find that you will like using it a lot. I can't live without it, especialy when doing rotary type work. I even went to ebay and bought one for my computer at home.

Maestro I have the sofware and latest drivers but found with Mouse, Spaceball and keyboard that I felt I needed 3 pairs of hands always holding the wrong thing at the wrong time.

It is very easy, mouse on one side, keyboard in the middle, and spaceball on the other side. If you are right handed, it will not take long for you to pick up spaceball on the left.

 

Don't try to use the same hand for mouse and

spaceball.

Go to Ebay, search for spaceball. I paid $80.00 for one thay I use at home.

We don't have much luck using a Spaceball with MasterCam. It's indispensable in UGNX, but the screen blanks when atempting to use it in MC.

Some guys here in the office claim it doesn't work at all.

Like I said before, I use one every day in Mastercam. Mouse on right, spaceball on left. Indespensable for any type of rotary or multiaxis work. Once I got used to using it, I can't live without it. It also works great in Solidworks and Autocad.

I use a Compaq spaceball with MC.

The mmouse chook works great but nothing compared to the spaceball.

Try this:

 

Spin your geometry to any oddball angle. Right click your mouse to get the drop down menu. Hit TOP view. Now look at your WCS. ***Dont save your file***. BETTER YET....

 

Save under a different name. Open it up. Look over your geometry...especially arc's and circle's.
