I suspect that Microsoft dropping OpenGL

support in Vista has thrown CNC Software a

curve ball. The last time I looked, even the mighty SolidWorks did not have a Vista ready release yet.

I guess the final solution will be to rewrite

everything for DirectX 10. frown.gif

"What does it mean to be Vista capable? The original X2 can't run on it?"

Been covered, do a search. It runs. Pista does not support OpenGL graphics, emulates it, so there's a substantial performance hit. Graphics sumpin like 80% slower for Solidworks, probably about the same for X2.

I think any OpenGL app will run on Pista, but much slower.

The Pista compatable apps use the (directx?) graphics standard of Pista, and are much faster,

graphics wise.
