DANC - Did you remember to set your tolerance to .0001? It defaults to .001 and my computer processed it in 1min 40sec with a .001 tolerance. You need to manually change each toolpath.

The fasted one I tested so far was an

 

Intel E6850, with 2 gigs and similar hardware

ran the benchmark in 5:47

 

The next closest was an AMD64X2 @6:45

So I say this is the leaderat 4MIN 15 SEC.

So unless I am missing any thing I am now second at 5min 1 sec or was 2 sec.

That is an impressive number. - 4:15, :45sec off the previous high mark.

The cost for that computer was ..... get ready ....... $8600 Canadian including tax. First place is expensive. I think that works out to exactly $2000 a minute. Pathetic at best.

Memory buffering in MC set to 75%

 

This is a lower cost system with some used parts so I do not have an exact cost. The MB, CPU and ram combo was about $485+tax. I would say the raid card is working fine but it would be faster if I striped all 4 HD's or ran Raptors. I just have bad luck with crashed HD's these days which is why the Raid 10.

Does this make a difference? I was set to default of 50%. Changed to 75% and no difference in processing time (still 7:10).

I haven't seen memory buffering ever impact time.I have had 2 gb ram though. Thanks for response JParis I had hoped there was a log file saved somewhere.
