What is your favourite colour drawing solid and their drive geom ?

I don't have solids but use #10 for most surfaces and #9 for wireframe and then what every colors I might feel like depending on what I need to draw up. I often use different colors for things I have to project or pockets, contours and boundaries I might need to add.HTH

11 for wire and 110 for surfaces on my punches, and 10 for wire and 126 for surfaces on my dies, etc. I like to keep things pretty constant thru tool designs so everyone understands as we work thru the files.

A long time ago, someone had a Mastercam color palette for sale on eBay, that featured *orange*, as one of the main selling features. We got a kick out of that.

 

Once Mastercam changed from the V7 color palette, we really cheered here for color #55, which was the first really orange color, and easy to remember.

 

So, short answer, #55.

For fixtures I use #103, Aluminum

#10 drive geometry and solids, #11 for edges I intend to chamfer, #14 points, #12 curves, and whatever else that serves my needs for more complex parts.

#2 for Surfaces and #10 for wire frame. lighter colors make the wire frame stand out on the darker surfaces

I tried white solid and red wire, looks good but still I have to try other recomendations

I could never use red as its group color and it would drive nuts. Red, purple, and yellow are offlimits for me.

 

Im partial to #3, #94, and #7 for a lot of things. Black background only.
