X3 what's new

Any chance someone could post the what's new file for X3 to the ftp site so those that are bandwidth challenged can view it without having to download the whole web X3?

I was anxiously awaiting the "bugs fixed" list in the What's New file. There isn't one.

 

Anyone know if the edge curves from solid bug has been fixed?

I thought X3 supported multiple cores?

 

I am crunching a big toolpath and taskmanager shows 13% usage (1 of 8 cores).

 

Is there a setting I am missing?

I put a file on the FTP in the MCX2 Files folder called SOLID EDGE CURVES.MCX. Can someone open it in X3 and create edge curves from the solid? Does it create edge curves on the smaller 3 holes that break through the "boss", or is it still broken?

Seems like somethings weird with your file Thad. I saved it out as an .sat and brought it back in as surfaces with edge curves. I got all the wireframe but only one surface showed up.

All were created complete, if that's what you were asking about.

Kelly, edge curves from surfaces always worked. It was edge curves from solids that was well documented by myself an others. The file that I uploaded was a parasolid written out from UG, then saved in X2 MR2 SP1. Perhaps that, along with your conversions messed something up? I can create surfaces from this file without any problems.

 

John, looks like it's fixed. X2 will create just a small portion of the curve.
