Changing diameters of multiple holes

I have many holes that I want to change the diameters of. I went and selected all the holes, opened up the "analyze entity properties" and changed the diameter of one hole and then hit propogate. If I am correct this should have changed the sizes for all the selected holes but it did not.

 

Am I doing something wrong?

The window that pops up when you do that is for one hole only. I have to toggle through each hole by hitting the arrow button and changing the size on each one.

I think the propogate only applies to the attributes. (line style, color, level)

There is a c-hook called Arc multi edit which does what you are describing. You will need to download it from the ftp site. It will be under X2 add-ons or X3 add-ons.

There is a C-Hook on the FTP (Arc Multi Edit) that may help.

The 2 c-hooks I use all the time is FindOverlap.dll and NoHist.dll

 

Findoverlap checks the entire model for overlapping entities like lines and arcs and deletes them. Very handy when you get crappy iges surface files.

 

Nohist just deletes the history tree for solid models turning it into a "dumb" solid.

There's a nice description of the standard MC chooks in the help file.

 

I think AI Utility is extremely useful.

A few others that come in handy are the DXFRescuer and my favorite SilhouetteBoundary.

 

DXFRescuer: some DXF files just don't come in and this permits the reading of a problem DXF file.

 

SilhouetteBoundary: excellent tool to obtain a closed chain around a 3D multi-surface and/or solid part projected to the active C-Plane.

I am sure I am no different that most users where you find a few of the C-hooks useful and never find any use for most of the rest. There have been several occasions where I could have used this one for changing multiple circles. My basic philosophy has always been: work smarter, not harder!! Thanks again.

I was searching the FTP site with no luck and it never occured to me to check the main Mastercam site. I got it and it works great.
