WHY?!!!!! Why do I need to go delete the "Repaired NCI" from each operation. I just opened a file and it had ove 30 operations with this crap..

Are you using MU3? I haven't seen this once in MU3, but it was horrible up till that point.

It still shows up regularly in 5-Axis ops.

Could a macro be recorded or a VB script written to perform this task automagically ? Would save some time although it wouldn't fix the problem.

Problem is, some of the regens take hours...

I do 5 axis operations all day long and have never seen this since installing MU3. I use to get this all the time with X4. Try installing MU3 if you haven't already.

I still get this occasionally if I open an old X3 file in X4_MU3. Once I fix the dirty ops,

it doesn't usually happen again

Sorry to bring this back, but it just started happening to me. I am going through about 40 part #'s in lathe that are new for us, nothing fancy, just straight foreward toolpaths (rough, finish, groove) trying to get a rough estimate for quoteing, when this pops up "repaired NCI" I cannot get backplot to show times!!!! arghhhh !!!

I either have to delete and recreate the effected operation or sometimes if I change the post file that will work?? I can leave the machine def alone but just change from the genaric post to one of our old ones???

Were these files your opening created with X4 MU3?

I only see this happen when I open earlier files that I created prior to MU3. I have never seen this happen with any files that I created using MU3.

Yes, X4 MU3 creating them as I go, I know how lathe works (generally), but 98 % of my time is spent on milling, so it could be something basic that I just don't know about. It has happenned on about 10 of the 30 or so files if have created in the past week seems pretty random at this point. BTW I am using the VTL w/right turret mach. def.

Ok, just opened a file I made yesterday, a simple straight vertical line ID toolpath (1 entity, 1 chain) was locked with the repaired nci comment and the when I opened the geometery tab in the operations manager it had 4 chains listed? The same entity I originally selected but up and down twice. Wow! is all I can say. Deleted the toolpath, recreated, saved, closed & reopened, and everything is fine....for now...

Close Mastercam

delete all the files in the temp folder

I just got the this problem in X4 MU3. The part was fairly simple but did have quite a bit of surface milling. I did not have any issues at all until I used "Toolpath Transform" so that I could build multiple parts.

We get the NCI repair also, on 5 axis operations also.

Will cnc software ever get it together?

All we want is a stable version software, the heck with all the bells and whistles. Build a product that works, and make your customers happy.
