OT/3 axis to 5 axis

I learned how to program on a 5 axis machine. Make sure you get an accurate measurement on your tool length and pivot distance. And check the machine periodically for calibration this is important also. And use this forum:) it is a great tool. I'm assuming the place you are going has been doing this kind of thing already so they probably have a post dialed in for the machine this makes it much easier and if it isn't it makes it that much more difficult. Good luck man it you want to check out some of the stuff I have done I will put a file up in the mc9 folder as matt.mc9

We bought two of the handbooks (1&2) direct from San Diego Cad/Cam. We contacted Julie and she had it off to us in no time. Buying direct saved us money as well. Look at one of Charles Davis's posts and click on the homepage to get in contact with Julie. Our books were at the shop in just a few days even with having to cross the border.

Wich book would you recomend?I only sore 1 book,at the top of this forum under books tittle.It was a 4-5 axis book for v9.

Well See all of my Fellow memebers have given you great advice so you are taken care of there.

 

I will say good luck and have fun and just relax at the new position. You have already rpoven yourself worthy or they would not have hired you in the first place. I wish the best of luck.

CadCam im not seeing where this education site is sorry.I looked again under Books/learning Resources but i could only see 4/5 axis mill v9 book.

I could not see this volume 3 book you guy's are referring too.
