Extra long saving time in Mastercam X9

I am having a problem with Mastercam X9.  hen I go to save files it takes a few minutes to save.  Is anyone else having this problem?

Yes I have a 1 gig file and it takes about 1 minutes to save on my SSD.

I have noticed it too. When you save every few minutes you end up noticing small changes. I don't think its anything to be alarmed about at this point though.

It really depends on the amount of ops on what you are saving. I haven't noticed a huge difference and I'm saving to a samba server.

Move your solid /surfaces to their own level , and turn it off BEFORE you save...

James if I remember you guys are saving to the network servers. I know some of your files get large. did this just start or it was like this when I was there?

I just tested that.....saved a file with the solids visible no shading....save = 18 sec...

It started with X9.

I just noticed this with a file that I am currently working on in x9. I brought in an assembly and placed the parts on their respective levels and saved. This save took approximately 7 minutes to save the file. For grins I opened the same assembly in X7 and that save took 35 seconds. Something is definitely going on in X9.

Check and see if you have "include bitmap in file when saving" selected in the your Configuration file.

How did that thing get turned back on...forgot all about it...

 

Seems like CNC would take note of things that cause problems and change the freaking default startups...

 

That one thing caused so many lost files due to the Zero Byte bug I can't believe it is still enabled as a default setting...

 

Someone thump whoever is responsible for stuff like this on the ear several times and tell them to get with the program....

 

One on the numerous things that make me cringe whenever we have to upgrade to the next version....

I use viewsheets and I have noticed when I go back to the main view sheet with minimal layers turned on save is significantly faster.
