Ummmm, it's not even in Alpha (for at least the 5th time since the beginning of the year).

 

These "Is X out yet" questions are getting OLD, what, someone's asking at least once a day it seems.

Before a new release goes to beta, all the beta

sites get an email asking them to read sign and

fax back an NDA. That hasn't happened yet.

Of course, when it does, the beta sites can't talk

about it. That's what an NDA is all about

My bad. My Mori Seiki SH-8000 peed in my cheerios this morning.

 

I get in this morning @ 5:15 knowing one of our SH-8000's is down. (It e-mailed me last night with the problem on my cell phone). Got it running again but it's down again - same problem just won't fix. Rack style tool magazines are a pain in the arse. Much too complicated. I like the old mechanical chain driven system much better, but on a 240 Tool Magazine the chain would be massive. True, tool changes are possibly longer but the system is more reliable by far.

It's up now. I had to machine a replacement piece so it would run while one gets ordered. Whew. Long day. Been here since about 5:15am. I want to make sure it goes through the first 4-5 toolchanges.

Talked with my dealer yesterday and he thinks maybe July.. He also told me version 10 will be completely different. Sounds like some MAJOR changes from what he was telling me.. Can't wait
