You notice Kerry is not speaking much about Military record these days. He's got some skeletons you would not believe... does "Hanoi Jane" mean anything to anyone???

Usually politicians say whatever is popular at the time but stay somewhat true to their core beliefs, but Kerry... man, oh, man... just wait til his flip/flops come out. I smell another 4 years of my man Bush! cheers.gif It won't be easy, but he'll emerge victorious.

...he became president without actually winning the election ...

That's not entirely accurate. He did not win the "popular" vote, but he most certainly won the electoral college. Last time I checked, the electoral college votes in the President, not you and I. And don't you think for a second, that people have been re-counting the illiterate's votes in Florida time, and time, and time again trying to make Al "I'm a looser and won't admit it" Gore the winner. In no uncertain terms, we are most certainly better off with Bush in office right now. Al would have cowered and peed his pants after 9/11. He's a puss! The sucker put on like 50 pounds after loosing the election, is that the kind of person you want having their finger on the "trigger"??? I should hope not. We don't need perfection in the White House, we just need someone with some resolve, some leadership, and some balls to stand up for our soverignty as a nation. The freaking liberals are the UN's toady's ready to cede our soverignty to a bunch of Third World goons.

The Democrats are implying that Bush used

his fathers connections to get an early out

from his enlistment in the Air National Guard.

Its funny how when Clinton was running, military service was a non-issue. Now that the Democrats

have war hero running, the Air National Guard

isn't good enough.

Here are some cool quotes.....

quote:

President Bush Lied ??-----Really?

If you really believe that President BUSH lied - - THAT THERE NEVER WERE

ANY WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION IN IRAQ AND HE TOOK US TO WAR SOLELY FOR

HIS OIL BUDDIES --then read this and, if you are the fair-minded person

that I believe you to be--, PASS IT ON TO YOUR ENTIRE E-MAIL LIST.

"One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to

develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them.

That is our bottom line." President Clinton, Feb. 4, 1998

"If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear.

We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of mass

destruction program." President Clinton, Feb. 17, 1998

"Iraq is a long way from USA but, what happens there matters a great deal

here. For the risks that the leaders of a rogue state will use nuclear,

chemical or biological weapons against us or our allies is the greatest

security threat we face." Madeline Albright, Feb 18, 1998

"He will use those weapons of mass destruction again, as he has ten times

since 1983." Sandy Berger, Clinton National Security Adviser, Feb, 18,

1998

"We urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the

U.S.Constitution and Laws, to take necessary actions, (including, if

appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to respond

effectively to the threat posed by Iraq's refusal to end its weapons of

mass destruction programs." Letter to President Clinton, signed by Sens.

Carl Levin, Tom Daschle, John Kerry, and others on Oct. 9, 1998

"Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass

destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and

he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process." Rep. Nancy

Pelosi (D, CA), Dec. 16, 1998

"Hussein has .. chosen to spend his money on building weapons of mass

destruction and palaces for his cronies." Madeline Albright, Clinton

Secretary of State, Nov. 10, 1999

"There is no doubt that ... Saddam Hussein has invigorated his weapons

programs. Reports indicate that biological, chemical and nuclear

programs continue a pace and may be back to pre-Gulf War status. In

addition, Saddam continues to redefine delivery systems and is doubtless

using the cover of a licit missile program to develop longer-range

missiles that will threaten the United States and our allies." Letter to

President Bush, Signed by Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL,) and others, December

5, 2001

"We begin with the common belief that Saddam Hussein is a tyrant and a

threat to the peace and stability of the region. He has ignored the

mandated of the United Nations and is building weapons of mass

destruction and the means of delivering them." Sen. Carl Levin (D, MI),

Sept. 19, 2002

"We know that he has stored secret supplies of biological and chemical

weapons throughout his country." Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002

"Iraq's search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible to

deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as Saddam is

in power." Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002

"We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seeking and

developing weapons of mass destruction." Sen. Ted Kennedy (D, MA), Sept.

27, 2002

"The last UN weapons inspectors left Iraq in October of 1998. We are

confident that Saddam Hussein retains some stockpiles of chemical and

biological weapons, and that he has since embarked on a crash course to

build up his chemical and biological warfare capabilities. Intelligence

reports indicate that he is seeking nuclear weapons..." Sen. Robert

Byrd (D, WV), Oct. 3, 2002

"I will be voting to give the President of the United States the

authority to use force-- if necessary-- to disarm Saddam Hussein because

I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction in his

hands is a real and grave threat to our security." Sen. John F. Kerry

(D, MA), Oct. 9, 2002

"There is unmistakable evidence that Saddam Hussein is working

aggressively to develop nuclear weapons and will likely have nuclear

weapons within the next five years ... We also should remember we have

always underestimated the progress Saddam has made in development of

weapons of mass destruction." Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D, WV), Oct 10, 2002

"He has systematically violated, over the course of the past 11 years,

every significant UN resolution that has demanded that he disarm and

destroy his chemical and biological weapons, and any nuclear capacity.

This he has refused to do" Rep. Henry Waxman (D, CA), Oct. 10, 2002

"In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show

that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological

weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program.

He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including al

Qaeda members It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam

Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and

chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons." Sen.

Hillary Clinton (D, NY), Oct 10, 2002

"We are in possession of what I think to be compelling evidence that

Saddam Hussein has, and has had for a number of years, a developing

capacity for the production and storage of weapons of mass destruction."

Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL), Dec. 8, 2002

"Without question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal,

murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime. He presents a

particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to

miscalculation ... And now he is miscalculating America's response to his

continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction

So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real

..." Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Jan.23.2003

SO NOW THE DEMOCRATS SAY PRESIDENT BUSH LIED, THAT THERE NEVER WERE ANY

WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION AND HE TOOK US TO WAR FOR HIS OIL BUDDIES???

Talk about two-tongued philosophy

That just plain sucks. The families of the National Guard that have died in the War on Terror should take it out on the liberals at the polls.

This will be my ONLY post on this thread....here's a resume for y'all to compare.

quote:

G. BUSH RESUME

-I was arrested in Kennebunkport, Maine, in 1976 for driving under the influence of alcohol. I pled guilty, paid a fine, and had my driver's license suspended for 30

days.

-My Texas driving record has been "lost" and is not available.

MILITARY:

-I joined the Texas Air National Guard and went AWOL.

-I refused to take a drug test or answer any questions about my drug use.

-By joining the Texas Air National Guard, I was able to avoid combat duty in Vietnam.

COLLEGE:

-I graduated from Yale University with a low C average.

-I was a cheerleader.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS PRESIDENT:

-I am the first President in U.S. history to enter office with a criminal record.

-I shattered the record for the largest annual deficit in U.S. history.

-I set an economic record for most private bankruptcies filed in any 12month period.

-My largest lifetime campaign contributor, and one of my best friends,Kenneth Lay, presided over the largest corporate bankruptcy fraud in U.S.

History, Enron.

-I have protected my friends at Enron and Halliburton against investigation

or prosecution. More time and money was spent investigating the Monica

Lewinsky affair than has been spent investigating one of the biggest corporate ripoffs in history.

-I presided over the biggest energy crisis in U.S. history and refused to

intervene when corruption involving the oil industry was revealed. I presided over the highest gasoline prices in U.S. history.

-I changed the U.S. policy to allow convicted criminals to be awarded government contracts.

-I appointed more convicted criminals to administration than any President in U.S. history.

-I created the Ministry of Homeland Security, the largest bureaucracy in the history of the United States government.

-I withdrew the U.S. from the World Court of Law.

-I refused to allow inspectors access to U.S. "prisoners of war" detainees and thereby have refused to abide by the Geneva Convention.

-I am the first President in history to refuse United Nations election inspectors (during the 2002 U.S. election).

-I set the all-time record for most days on vacation in any one year period.

-After taking off the entire month of August, I presided over the worst security failure in U.S. history.

-I garnered the most sympathy for the U.S. after the World Trade Center attacks and less than a year later made the U.S. the most hated country in the world, the largest failure of diplomacy in world history.

-I have set the alltime record for most people worldwide to simultaneously protest me in public venues (15 million people), shattering the record for protest against any person in the history of mankind.

-I am the first President in U.S. history to order an unprovoked, preemptive

attack and the military occupation of a sovereign nation.

-I did so against the will of the United Nations, the majority of U.S. citizens, and the world community.

-I have cut health care benefits for war veterans and support a cut in duty

benefits for active duty troops and their families in war time.

-I am the first President in history to have a majority of Europeans(71%) view my presidency as the biggest threat to world peace and security..

-I have so far failed to fulfill my pledge to bring Osama Bin Laden to justice, the creator of the largest attack on US civilians ever.

RECORDS AND REFERENCES:

-All records of my tenure as governor of Texas are now in my father's library, sealed and unavailable for public view.

-All records of SEC investigations into my insider

trading and my bankrupt companies are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for

public view.

-All records or minutes from meetings that I, or my

Vice President, attended regarding public energy policy are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public review.

PLEASE CONSIDER MY EXPERIENCE WHEN VOTING IN 2004.

Hey Cmr, you forgot to add the part where he planned the World Trade Center attacks, and hid Saddam ‘till it was politically advantageous to reveal his capture.

Oh, and didn’t Bush and Cheney engineer and carry out, in cooperation with a secret group of “black op specialists”, the plane crash that killed Minnesota Senator Paul Wellstone who held the deciding vote for the use of military force in Iraq?

And you really ought to study your timelines as this recession we are quickly pulling out of was an inherited one. rtfaq.gif

I don't think so! You and I and all our son's and daughters will be better off without him and his cadre of ideological unilateralists.

What's wrong hardwood - forget to hug your tree this morning??? confused.gif

Anyway, we tried isolationism in WWII as well. Didn't work out so well for our fallen men and women in Pearl Harbor either. People hate our nation. The sooner you realize that, the sooner you'll realize that on occasion unilateral unpopular action is necessary. I GUARANTEE that no matter what our policy is in the middel east, they'll still hate us. If it's not one reason it's another. They hate our success, they hate our culture, they hate our values, they hate our religion, etc...
