  1. File with example Video I through this together to give you an idea. It is 5 Axis on the tool axis control with locked Direction, but with the correct post it should work on a 4 Axis machine.

  3. we went through all those topics as well. in the end my coworker and I noticed a flicker of another box prompt. looking into that we discovered mastercam 18 was looking for Microsoft office excel. don't know why. our mastercam rep did not know either. we installed excel, and it solved our problem.

  4. Yes, but from memory the G code needed I cannot say. Should be easy to find in your programming manual. What is the control? I have a Matrix 2 book that says G51.1 for Mirror on and G50.1 for mirror off. G92.5 for Coordinate Rotation.

  6. I will mention this as part of the ability of this toolpath is the start point selection. One machines with limited C axis travel the start point is how you can make this toolpath work to keep the travel within the limits of travel, but still cut your part. This is where the programmer has to become the kinematic aware part of the process. Nothing worse than spending all your time making nice toolpaths that will not run on a machine.

  9. either way you're going to need to restart in a few hours, so i'm failing to see the point. maybe do this: make a new sub that starts on your referenced tool change. make a new Main that calls your new sub followed by your old main. you can loop sub calls roughly more than 3 deep but less than 10 deep....IIRC from 1997.

  10. No sir a file with some toolpaths. Sorry I am not toolpathing your part for free. I am glad to offer suggestions for you to try, but there are to many irregular features on that part to think one toolpath is going to cut that whole root in one operation. A majority of the root floor yes I can make one toolpath do that, but all the walls and Radius and everything one Toolpath not going to happen, I am sorry I need to see some sweat equity in a Mastercam file with toolpaths. Your step file means program for you and that is how I make a living so want to hire me to program that part I will get your a quote right now 4-6 weeks lead time. Someone wants to program the step file for you then more power to them.

  12. What is the video card? How much memory? What is the OS? What are the UAC setting? Have you tried changing the icon to run the program as administrator?
