  4. Hi Looking for mastercam file picture of engineer preferable with cigarette in mouth. Reason old boy in machine shop is retiring and they want me to program a quartz Glass Disc engrave with his name and a funny picture. Any help or ideas very much appreciated. files would need to be V9 (poor me still with version 9 ) All the best JimP Scotland

I am using Win DNC V4.0 to sen dfiles to a Sauer CNC mill every thing has worked ok for the last few years but now has just stopped viewing the files on the CNC and more inportant I can not download from PC to CNC (As you have most likley guessed all our programs are kept in the PC. Any one come acroos this prob I have checked cable and plugs they seem good. I think the software is seeing the M/c but not the programs? hope someone can help. ATB JimP
  6. John I take it you are going to Cancun I was there last month it was the holiday of a life time. Wish it was me going instead of you. ha ha
  7. Go to your settings>>configuration. At the bottom of your system configuration screen it says current. If you change this it prompts you (do you wish to scale the current part) say yes and all is done. I would make a copy of the file before doing this. I just did it on a simple part and it worked great.

    Thanks John will keep it at declared diameter problem is I want to machine the ID and it will only allow me to machine as if it is a OD?

  11. Solidworks is the same I clear the Temp directory every now and then. JimP
  12. Same here we have 2 Kellenberger cylindrical CNC grinding machines one use 'R' other I,J,K both produce the same results.

    Hi I am trying to machine a barrel cam using Rolldie, but when I insert the diameter it only machines the OD how do I change it to machine ID? Regards JimP Scotland V9

  16. Hi I have been asked to supply a 3D drawing and machine this part for a customer, using Solid works 2007 & Mastercam for the programming V9. Problem for me drawing supplied by customer is a rolled out view, as if the tube has been rolled flat, question how do I convert this view into a solidworks or Materscam part. I can send Acrobat copy of the projected drawing tried to send to Cadcam FTP site but was not allowed.   20. Buying a new laptop will Mastercam 9 run on Microsoft Vista? As all the new laptops seem to come supplied with microsoft Vista except Dell and I am not to keen on there computers had a lot of problems in the past. Thanks once again for your help. Jim

Hi all I am looking for a Air Turbine Spindle to fit on our CNC Mill BT40 fitting there seems to be a few good one around but my problem is we drill small holes in Quartz 0.025" and need to have through coolant.
