  3. Just noticed I have the Clear screen button selected instead of Redraw. Problem fixed JimP
  4. When I back plot for some reason my geometry has started to vanish. When I stop, it reapears ok. Is it some setting I have changed by mistake? Thanks in advance Jimp Scotland.

    Please help I should know the answer but the old brain is in holiday mood. What does the tilda symbo mean in a drawing before a dimension. It is a taper length ~2 Thanks in advance for your help and maybe all your little wishes will come true like Ver x will be delivered.

  11. I have used mastercam since Ver 4.5 (Dos)up till 5 years ago alwas used Mastercams Cad but now find Solid works so much easier. Mastercam is still the best Cam system by far maybe with X the Cad package will be on par with Solidworks you can only hope. JimP Scotland.

  14. Staying at Wellsburg also will be in Charleston for a couple of days. Was there 2 years ago we performed a burns supper in wheeling, had a great time.
  15. I used to make the programs for Injection and compression moulds a few years ago machine quartz now but still a toolmaker at heart. JimP
  16. Does anyone on the forum have geometry of the Square and Compass? I am visiting West Virginia this October and was wanting to engrave a Quartz plate for the friend we are staying with. Best day of the week almost the weekend party time have a good one. JimP
  17. I have been using Solidworks for the last 8 years and find it very user friendly with Mastercam have been trained with Inventor and agree both have very similar functionality. I use SW2005 Beta testing 2006 Jim

  20. Yes the repaint is a I set tool as shaded is seems to work as default. Jim

  23. Hi Benji We use Mitee-Grip Mesh all the time for machining Quartz don't know how we would manage without it. But use the Mesh Wax paper PN 10252 Jim
  24. Phil my favorites are Highland Park and Glenmorangie malts but have a selection of about 12 different brands and like them all, and like you think the Islay whisky's are superb. Ardbeg and Laphroig as well as your two. A nice blended whisky is Black Bottle not Black Label which is nice , Black Bottle is made up of Islay malts.
