J.Keilman,
The way you it fine, but you need to know tool Dia. and don't have change to control Dia offset.
I do similar idea with you, but I create a circle same as the finish diameter plus spiral with the correct step over and use contour with comp. = Wear and turn off " infinite look ahead ". You can use lead in/out if you want to.

We do alot of thread mill here, With X2 So far we don't have any problems yet. What size of thread hole you want to mill and tool Dia ? Let me know I will take a look.

Billet,
I didn'd have MR1 loaded in my PC now, But if I rememmbered correctly, In Backplot option ,tool/ profile/ auto or as defined, Check As defined.

Thad,
I tried it out and got same problem. The option "depth filtering" feature doesn't work. I use Mask on arc > window , it pick all arcs, doesn't matter what depth.
We did a lot of jobs same as you asking.
What we do:
Set up T/plane normal to line then Toolpaths > Circle paths > Circle toolpath pick a point. In Circmill parameter enter Dia in Circle Diameter box, Set the Depth = 0 and incremental

Somehow your post setup not right for feedrate (*fr)
some canned cycles use *fr, some use pplunge
Change *fr = pplunge, You should be fine

Today I got crash on my computer, I test same file on the other 4 computers. the same problem occured.
The file in ftp site MCX_files/4 AXIS TEST.MCX
Part is a restangular block, just mill and drill four sides, using T/plane and C/plane with fixture offsets for each sides. when I open in McamX and go to File/New or click on icon New file, MasterCam crashing. " The memory could not be "read"
The strange thing the file is fine, I can backplot, verify and out put NC files and keep go on..., no problem happen. It only crash when I hit Icon New
Somebody Can dupplicate it?
Use: X MR1/WinXp Sp2/Geforce FX 5700
