Hi David,
I have this problem often while switching between Lathe Ops and Mill Ops in the same MCX file. I have found that by clicking on Machine Group of interest in the Op manager, then clicking the "Insert arrow after" icon usually switches Mastercam X2 to the required product or module. The pictures above show that the MILL module is still active.

I've been losing solids defined as stock in X2 MR2 when I edit or replace the Machine Def. in the Machine Group Properties.

BTW, I did email QC on 10/9 and have yet to get a response.
I've had this happen when taking in a library tool, modifing the insert parameters without saving the new "job" tool back to the library as something different than the original. It would reference the library tool instead of the "job" tool when creating the toolpath.

I was just wondering if anyone else is having issue with geometry selection on solids for Mill X2 Circle Paths. It doesn't seem to pick up on solid edges like it did in X, only faces/centers(?). Instead of the model driving the hole sizes it appears it is left up to the Operation's parameters. Am I missing something?

It appears that the "Stock Flip" operation in Lathe now keeps the transformed geometry in the same quadrant as the original geometry instead of flipping it about the revolving axis.

You can control the number of places after the decimal from here.

Could you create an offest around the letters and trim the intersections so that you have one continuous chain? Then rough that chain with the 1/4 inch bit.

is your code similar to what I posted (control) or 3rd String's (wear, I'm assuming)? Could we see a sample? I only ask because you said "incr move before you turn comp on". Using wear type comp doesn't require me to use the incremental move/comp off line any longer.
Our Tree VMCs have AutoconDynapth controls on them. We don't need to call out "D" or "H" for comps, the "T" call takes care of both.
If you use wear type compensation in Mastercam you'll be better off. The code will be cleaner and easier to read. On ours, when using Control Type comp, we had to turn off cutter comp with an incremental zero move above then turn it on with another linear move and then feed to depth.

We switched to wear type comp about 5 years ago and our code looks very much the same as 3rd String's now. The latest and greatest post from CNC should get you going in the right direction with wear.

Just checking, because the topic was for increasing the number of previously opened "files", under File on the main toolbar. John13's last reply should work for what you're trying to accomplish.
