We all have our "shortcuts" configured to only grab the mill and solids Maybe try putting /NoL on their shortcut command line. Then put /L on yours
From the picture the wall looks vertical, surface finish parrallel does not work on vertical walls without a drive surface under it.
I am not sure about HS raster though.
When bringing in a solid it seems to automatically grab "solids" if its available.
I was wondering if their is a way to prevent this? We have 2 seats of solids and sometimes I grab a license without knowing it.

when you press delete there is a button for clear all that should work.I am not seeing any clearall button. Right now the programs are listed 1 2 3 4 5 etc. I press 1 then right arrow key then their is an F Delete. That wiil delete program 1. I was hoping their was a way to delete all programs at one time and not go through that 5 times.
It has a MSC-504 Fanuc control. My question is when i load programs into the control and go to the hd-directory is their a way to delete more then one program at a time?
For some reason it doesnt like the tangical entry and exit on your lead in/out. I changed it too perpendicular .100 length and .100 ramp height and it worked.

So it's only slow when dealing with surfaces? Hi Pete, I just tried it on the solid and its still real slow . As soon as i grab a solids license its fine on both solids and surfaces. To expand a little the guys in the office can draw a part in solids and as soon as i get it,again no solids here, Its slow. Its strange.
Ok the two computers in the office who do the converting have a solids license. They do not have any issue. They import a parasolid then save a X3 file as a solid. I grab the X3 file off their computer move to mine,no solids license, create surfaces and delete the solid. Now the sometimes Bounding Box creation is really slow. So I closed Mastercam on one of the office computers. Opened with the solids license on my computer and the Bounding Box worked fine. Went back to without the solids license and creation went back to being really slow. Hope this makes a little sense.
So Robert I am wondering if you have solids active when it happens to you?
Their is a force toolchange selection in your toolpath parameters.Right under your feeds and plunge rates. I am not sure if this is what your lookin for.
I have the same issue and haven't figured it out either. Like you said random. I did the same thing opened it on another computor (same computor as mine) and it worked fine. Ive tried doing a repair and no luck.
Interesting I have the FX 3500 here too. So does the computor it works on so I dont know.
Come on now that would be too easy.
I did some digging around and found some older printed files and the font in the name is a lot smaller so the whole path is seen. I didnt change anything to effect the font size. Now its alot larger just from upgrading.
When printing a file and select name and date the words run off the page at the beginning and end. The only thing that was done was upgrading to X3. Is there anyway to make it so the entire name and date path fits on the page?

check in the root folder of your Mastercam install Look for a file named MDM1120.prm.
If its filesize=0, delete it.
Mastercam will write a new correct file when it launches
Try this see if this helps.
When pressed it also takes care of the wireframe from "straying away" from the surface. It will follow the surface better in most cases. I've had really good luck with it pressed.
