When i open a file it starts coming in fine then dissapears for a second or two right before it fully opens.This wasnt happening in X2sp1. Shaded or unshaded,solids or surfaces doesnt seem to matter.Just wondering if anyone else sees this. Quadro FX 3500

I have seen this opening a file and hitting escape before the file is fully opened.Accidently of course.

Sounds like a classic graphic card issue. What kind of graphics card do you have?

We just air blast here and I like to conventional mill seems to help on the burs.Also nice sharp tools.

Thats why we use gotomy pc here is the firewall issues.

Eric when contouring on the roll cutter around corners selection in the contour parameters have "sharp" selected.We have problems with XY arcs if "all" is selected.

It happens to me when the geometry is on a level thats off and then when the contour or pocket selection window is up and you turn the level on it doesnt chain.

"so I manually tried to insert the folder into the new one and no settings changed" ------------------------------------------------- I overwrote the config folder with the old one and it worked fine.

On your general selection bar their is a verify selection button.Maybe thats on.

Thanks Murlin.No not quite 10min. I did a search and only a couple hits i was curius if it would help Mastercam perform anyway.

Also after you choose create line their is a nearest selection on the auto curser bar.

Steve,I get that if i dont have the main level on when translating and rotating.It will create geometry. -
I get the same error when mastercam crashes while saving the file.

Yeah we ended up calling milltronics and they did have us change parameters in the control.So far so good.I wanted to give it awhile to make sure that did it,so here it goes. Parameters-setup-misc.-scroll down a ways to software options-it will say g18___XZ[Change XZ to ZX]-and then a bit down special flags set to 002. Like i said so far so good but I would test first before running parts.

[How about a porous surface? No holes at all.] We have used metapor aluminum here and you dont need any holes.Worked real good but kinda pricey.

We have the same issue as Millman here on our Milltronics as far as yz and xz planes.So we turned them off in filter also and that took care of it.Also contouring we have to use sharp on roll cutter aroud corners or sometimes it will go the wrong direction also.
