  1. I also use the Quadro FX3450 card, went from one screen to two 20"Dell's without any major changes.
  2. Good luck on the new job! I also have been there, after ten years at my last job I told them I had another offer, and they walked me out the door. I had always gotten along with the boss, but when I mentioned a new job he turned 360 degrees. quote: They said that they couldn't let my box go out before looking in it to be sure nothing of there's was being taken Even if you had tools that were questionable about ownership, don't they think you were smart enough to take them home before you gave your notice? Anyway, it sounds like you got out not a moment to soon.
  3. I just got two Dell 20" monitors. It says right on the package what to set the resolution to. mine are at 1680-1050. I previously had one 17" screen, talk about night and day.
  4. quote: I have a habit of saving ALOT so I don't lose much when this happens. +1000 I have learned this the hard way with MCX.
  5. How are you holding the .130 sheet ?
  6. Or spin in the opposite direction when you go overseas? -
  7. Do you have any machine background? I believe it is a necessity for understanding Mastercam. I took both Solidworks and Mastercam classes, and I think they are about the same as far as difficulty goes. I think I had a little more trouble with Solidworks, because the course I took was a 5 day cram session. I think if you have a basic understanding of machine tools and you are proficient in Solidworks, Mastercam should not be that hard. As with anything, if you want to be good at it you must struggle thru it.(practice)
  8. quote: What's so "taboo" about asking about/for a post processor anyway? Alot of time and effort goes into custom posts, and to ask for it for free is wrong.
  9. I am not sure, but it sounds like you need to leave more for a finish pass.
  10. I am suprised the free post police haven't responded!
  11. What are you using for a Toolpath? What is the stepover % ?
  12. Is that a can of Whoop A$$ on your desk? Have you ever had to open it?
  13. Form taps are definitly the way to go with aluminum. We form tap all of our holes and rarely have problems.
  14. Welcome from one Newbie to Another!
