  4. Dan, lets figure out first if you can run the machine at all? Are you able to do a CS?
  5. Thad and All, Yes I am running Format 2, It's easier for me to understand, being of Fanuc Based Programming for 9 years. I will try it as posted in fresh air and let you know what I find. I haven't run the machine much so am not very experienced in it.

  8. I checked it and it is greyed out, but clockwise. I thought CCW was M4 I'm getting an M5 which is spindle stop??
  9. Hello All. I am using a Fadal Post and on some tools it outputs an M5 instaed of an M3 for Spindle Start. Does anyone have any ideas?
  10. CNC are certainly not delivering on their promises.
  11. John, Whats your best guess?
  12. Just saw this on the MC website............................ IMTS 2008 features the unveiling of the next generation of Mastercam CAD/CAM software – Mastercam X3. Attendees will get a first look at Mastercam’s new Feature Based Machining (FBM), the new Mastercam in SolidWorks product, as well as the Mastercam X3 release. All will be showcased in booth # D-3027 at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL, September 8-13. and wondered when we, The Paying Customers are going to get to see it????
  13. murray, did u try posting locally? what happens then?
  14. Hi Thad, This may be so. It's just that one shouldn't have to go to so much trouble to find it. I even searched the help contents and couldn't find it. It's not really a Break Function. More of a Convert Function. Just a thought.
  15. Phil, Maybe X4? or X3 SP1 I hope CNC are listening.
  16. I was really struggling with this yesterday. I just tried break many and set tol to 0.002 and amount to one and it created a line. This what I would have expected, however it is kinda hidden in a function that doesn't shout out convert. It would be good if it were on it's own.
  17. Thanks Bernie... Kelly, it works well, however the calculate button is almost invisible?? Any Ideas?
  18. What happens when you try and create it?
  19. Thad, I would offset the green contour and then pocket out the material using both chains.
  20. Lee.

    X3

I'll drink to that, Been using Mastercam since 99
  21. Also, maybe your original cutter took out all the stock there was to take? Check your model and your tp params.
  22. Did you check your WCS? Tool Plane?
