    Points

Is there a way to put i multiple points at a time? I have a drawing with about 200 different diameters and I need to put a point in the center of all of them. What I am looking for is a way to do this like create/point/center/all/arcs. Can it be done???

    MC Lathe

Why does the tool gouge my part when I turn on the semi-finish option? I am using rough/chain in mc lathe, trying to machine a face contour with a vnmg tool in a side holder. I am using zigzag facing operation, and as soon as the roughing is done,(and still inside the part on z),it wants to rapid up on x to the start point of the semi-finish pass. That is not a good thing! If I turn of the semi-finish,the tool rapids out on z and retracts normally. I will post it on FTP labeled wheel side two. thanks.
  8. Happy Thanksgiving and remember: Go Lions!!! Boy it's hard being a faithful Lion's fan these days.
  9. I just seen dxf files on the Sandvik website. Finding the drawings is difficult, since the site is a little hard to surf and find exactly what you need.
  10. I've had my dealer modify a couple of my posts and didn't have to pay a dime. Just send them the .mc9 file,.nc file, both types of post(the .txt and the .pst),and the program that you have modified along with notes of what you want and don't want on each line of the modified post. usually takes a week or so,then they email you back the stuff and you're off and running.
  11. Whatever it takes to get the machine to start making chips....do it. If we have a large complex part, then typically I am the one who programs and machines it,so I'll program the finish while it's roughing.

    no work

That's like us,we specialize in Hot Hot gotta have it stuff. It gets old after awhile, but hey...it pays the bills. It even gets to where the customer wants us to push back the already hot job we're doing for another even hotter job. These people crak me up. .....Sometimes.
  13. Isn't that just for changing the attribute for each style of entity? That just makes all points a certain level, color and style, all arcs a certain level, color, all lines,etc..... Am i wrong? I hope so because aside from screen/change attributes/color/all level 2 That's the only way that I know of to change it.

    I'm with Charles 100%.
  15. I have a 0T and I wish I would have bought a different one. Go with the 18T. The 0T is slow and is not too user friendly. Whne I say slow, just processing speed in general, searching a large file, and ect. HTH.
  16. Thanks Jim, I'll give it a shot.
  17. Good question Mats, It appears the only difference it the title. Hmmmm.
  18. For one of my lathes,i use the yasnac mpltl3yc post. Can anyone tell me how to get the post to output decimals? Every X and Z value is output without it. Example: X100000 for X10.0000
  19. Everybody's a comedian. lol. I'm sure that I'm not the only one who hates that damn key! Where's my hammer,I'll fix it.
  20. The problem is that when I am in Cimco Edit and I am editing a post,I sometimes accidently hit the insert key by mistake, and since I use the Home and End keys alot, this is a problem. When insert is off,the new text is overwriting the old, when it is on it inserts new.
  21. Elad, Why always work dry? I'm curious.
  22. Don't let them scare ya Kevin, I have a recurring magnesium job that we do about twice a year. I love machining the stuff. You have to have a special class of fire extinguisher (I believe a class d). Other than that the only bad point about it is that the chemicals in mag. will break down your coolant. If you talk to coolant reps, they won't suggest that you use your everyday coolant on magnesium because of fire issues, they have a special coolant for that. We don't but that special crap and just use the hangsterfers s500. My advice: Buy a couple fire extinguishers and start hoggin!!!! Have fun.
  23. Can anyone tell me how to disable the "insert" key on my keyboard? thanks.
