  1. When you say R values, do you mean as in drill cycle r-plane, or arc move r values? Glenn
  2. You also can change your tool change time to help make it into the ballpark. You should also remember, some ballparks are bigger than others. Glenn
  3. Looks like I am really the 3rd String. Or late String.
  4. We moved a copy of the Cimco edit folder to mcamx folder and use it with no problems. HTH Glenn
  5. I would think that you would be better served with some legs to go set on the machine bed. You could make them so that the bottom of the fixture would clear the vises a little, and then the vices wouldn't matter, you would only be using them to clamp the fixture in place. JM2C Glenn
  6. What are you looking for? There is a ton of info in the MastercamXInstallationGuide.pdf in the documentation folder. This should answer most questions, if not a quick call to your dealer or Mcam should fix any problems. HTH Glenn
  7. Look in the ptlchg0 block that Christian mentioned. I have moved my Z call out down to the next line in the post. That way it can never be with the G54 XY call. HTH Glenn
  8. Could you use the rpfan as a starting point. I have done several reverse posting from this. Most of the time I would just change the program info to match what it needed to be in fanuc style and run the rpfan as it was. Just a thought. Glenn
  9. quote: Right now I'm leaning toward Tebis, but I do need to give MasterCam a fair turn. If I have any questions during the demo, can I expect help here, or will I get more or the same? We tried Tebis a few years ago, they had a long way to go with their posting of code. It would not post any arc moves at all. So, we had HUGE nc files to machine with. They did have some CAD features that would blow Catia out of the water. We don't do any full 5 axis work though. Their support was ok. But nowhere near as good as this forum, and our local dealer. And if the answer can't be easily found with those 2, a call to mastercam has always wordked great for me. Good luck Glenn
  10. If you are copying the whole file, and then just making those edits, why not just make the edits, and then do a save as and save it as a new file name. Much faster I believe. I usually open the file and then do a save as, then make the changes and then save again. Keeps me from getting interupted and saving the edited file over the old one. Usually it is as soon as you hit the save you realize it and need Anthony's Oxxxxf+F3 key. HTH Glenn
  11. You may need to customize your post, or just enable it for 4rth axis stuff. If you post what version you are using, some of the post Guru's here can prolly help you. Glenn
  12. I had this on one file with MR1, but havn't had time to investigate as to why. We havn't implemented MR1 plant wide yet. It posted fine with all but MR1 installed. Not much help, but just wanted you to know that you are not alone. Glenn
  13. Does anyone know of or have a way to get the cut and run time on a xxxxor 8055 control. The part count would be nice as well. My company wants to start tracking these times on a per day basis. Thanks Glenn
  14. You can also select it in mastercam in the misc integers screen. In the post it just sets the default. So if this is just for a one time thing, just change it in Mcam. Glenn
  15. We have everything on the network. We did put security settings on them so that only certain people have write ability. This keeps the constant changing from happening. Glenn
  16. What post are you using? Are you changing workoffsets in McamX?? Are you using the coolant button, or does it seem to be hard coded into the post processor? Lots of questions, but we need more info to help. Glenn.
  17. That works, But is there another way, or do I have to go back to all the puters we use this on and make this change? This seems like a strange way to make it work when doing a new install. Thanks Glenn
  18. It looks like it might be in your post as a misc interger. Mine is useing the 2nd mi. Never used it, but did test it for you and it seems to work. HTH Glenn P.S. I think our post was based upon the mpfan post from the disk.
  19. My solids won't work on my nethasp. We have on the net hasp 1 MastercamX Mill level 3, 1 MastercamX Solids, 4 MastercamX Router, 1 MastercamX 5 axis, 2 Nesting. But when I try to use Solids, it tells me that the option is not available and to contact my dealer. Any Ideas? Thanks Glenn
  20. It worked for me when I restarted MCX completely. Thanks Paul. Glenn Here to Paul.
  21. Shouldn't I be able to change my feed rate in a drill cycle?? The box is greyed out. It didn't seem to matter how I have the feeds and speed set.(from tool, material, ect). The box just remains greyed out and you can't alter the feedrate. In my other posts the box has a default value, but it is white and editable so I can change it there if I don't like what it gave me for a feed rate. In the one with the greyed out box, I can change the spindle speed, but it does nothing with the feed, which I would expect if it was a tap cycle. Hope that helps explain it. Thanks Glenn
  22. If I buy a new seat of X, can I legally load V9 on my machine as well? We have many seats of Mastercam, so we have the V9 install disk. If we can legally load V9, does this also make it legal to use cimco edit?
  23. We have this problem on one of our posts as well. I talked to mcam and sent them the info. No answer yet, but keeping my fingers crossed. It is strange, because it is fine all of our other posts. Sorry, all I could do is confirm a problem. Glenn
