  1. Anybody else getting this when trying to access it? Is it under construction?
  2. Hear ya Ron Just keep up the great work and help man. You have a gift
  3. Dang, my job as trouble shooter, hands on trainer, R&D, Customer techincal support, Sr. Mould Designer, Sr. Programmer, software trainer, sheduler, is up for grabs..... Wish they told me 'NOT' being a team player was a prerequisite.......
  4. Don't post the negatives crash or the cost next time if you are worried about JB. just say, 'I figured out to do it with a bit of trial and error. ' then share your findings.
  5. I thought guitar would have chimed in with the right answer by now...
  6. I do this too. If I use bounding box, i go to stock setup and use 'select corners' I pic the bottom left and top right as the two corners of the bounding box. This creats the 3-d stock setup and then I ADD .250" (1/8 per side) to each number that selecting appears in the x and y boxes.
  7. Steep shallow would be an awesome addition to edit common parameters
  8. Did you try the Help dropdown menu (in X7)and click update mastercam?
  9. Well it sure didn't fix the tool importing bugs...... Hey CNC, here it is if you need a good reason to start SP2. http://www.emastercam.com/board/index.php?showtopic=77723&hl=
  10. does it fix any of the show stopping toolpath import issues from other .mcx-7 files? I have to create all my paths from scratch now i a cant import anything from other x7 files with out a blank tool list when i go to edit the tool paths i started a thread on it but no one from CNC chimed in. In-house has witnessed it all via desktop remote a few times, i sure hope they sent in the issues. cheers Rick
  11. go into the toolpath parameters/planes (wcs), and un check (display relative to WCS) (if checked)and make sure your 'working corinate system' /toolplane an comp are all the same see if that helps
  12. Nope, but i suggest you upgrade to MU2.
  13. We ALL know how CNC works......... BTW, if X8 is built from the ground up, How,may I ask, did PRE X version bugs manage to linger into it......
  14. does this mean if its a bug, we will get a patch? I could direct you to a bunch of bug threads and you can clean a ton of unfinished bidness up
  15. I can. I assume once you are in it dosent matter if the dongle is in the pc or not I can also get in from my ipone
  16. Mick, seen this before. (in X7 Mu2) It was a step file, opened it in solid worked, saved it out of solid works as the same format (_02) and that fixed it for me.
  17. Hi Mick, So far the only solution on generic path you use daily is to save the tool path operations as you make them to an X7 specific folder. Once this happen in a file i can not import from any previous versions of MC or any tool paths saved from previous version. Its gonn be a long month not being able to import ops. Hopefully CNC will chime in to find a workaround or a fix or a patch.
  18. Here it is not bringing in any of the tools upon import, after restarting MC! Now I have to remake all the needed tools from scratch. .
  19. I made a mistake in the first post restarting mastercam does not fix this Here is a pic proof of this error, bug or what ever it is. I was designing all day.(not in MC) Open an unfinished job and started working on it. not even 5 minutes into the job it happens again I created the 1/2" bull and 1/2 em from scratch and imported the 9/32 drill and then the 1/4" drill and the 1/4 does not show up If ANYBODY has experienced this and has a solution can you please share it with me. X8 is too far away and back to X6 cant be my only option.... Thanks in advance Rick .
