Not really, i am helping you, help them and that helps us all.
I just test the same old issues when they let loose a major release.
If the same old cumbersome problems are there, then I can only
assume and watch threads and test other issues that will directly
affect me, before the first MU release comes out.
Then hope they addressed the toolpath issues and pray they fix
old work arrounds, bugs, known inefficiencies...etc. (Same game, different release.)
Its actually a written ISO protocol at my work, for only this software.
"If missed in verify (who really has time to watch every single pass of every single tool)"
Nobody does. But when you break a cutter because of a faulty path....
Just at minimum, explain it to them and Maybe they will look at it or
confirm they have enuf concerns to do something about it.
This X8 release has alot of X7 and prior, carry overs....LOL
At least you get to use X8
It not unusual for MC to skip the odd z LVL path.
I get this mostly in waterline rest paths
When i catch it at the p.c., I change the step down by .001" and regen
then keep doing that until the path does it right, if it doesn't
I go to a legacy path that should do the about the same thing
Go to the new forum and place your issue in this thread
CNC chimed in and wants as many X8 issues reported here
http://forum.mastercam.com/Topic2846.aspx
The training I have had on it, you had many ways to do it, and I dont think they were accociative
The one way i like the most was to just wave your mouse over the un-needed cuts and the
editor put in the retract needed.
My powermill guy quit and I didnt and dont have time to learn it any more
so its all MC at the moment.
What version are you on?
I havent used MC solids since X4, but I am sure it gave me the option to save
without regenning
Try save as (add _02) see if it lets you save as
Sorry i cannot be of more help
You 'can' save without regenning, if you wish, i used to do it alot when i used
mastercam solids because i created surfaces from the solids...
usually because a line or something was move or deleted and it wont regen
without that associated geometry missing or moved
Are there any hidden toolpaths in the level 3 seats with 'no' multiaxis paths?
If not, can you change the title of this thread so us common folk don't feel so
disappointed?.... LOLOLOL
is what it is man, ever since i started using MC since 2006
For every problem you have with new releases you have to get this stuff in
and quick and get a bug number on it, or it skips a version or two.
They got to design the software so that it is easily patchable....untill
then, i dont know what to tell ya
Then email [email protected] and have them look into it
Maybe a share destop and have them phone you, they will likly tell you if it will wait to X9 right there
on the phone
Maintenance can get you Share desktop privileges
Yes all of the above
I have a wcs thread there that they deemed as a bug, and
this other wcs thread looks promising
http://forum.mastercam.com/Topic2554.aspx
WCS needs an over haul of TLC for the MU1 for sure, unless
they decide them for X9
Plus most other X8 users are over there and can test your issues
Murlin, get used to addressing X8 issue in the new forum.
Way more CNC personnel will be way more apt to chime in there and re assure you it is
being investigated.... most of the time in a quick manner.
3rd time trying to dload the .exe file. So like above I tried it after work hours
and it got through
can any one confirm the bite size?
in my dloads folder it says 963,733 kb
Is this correct?
Thanks in advance
seen this before, in-house hadn't seen it before at the time so a solution was not found
and starting a new file would have been the only way to rid of it
the stock model didn't affect my file so I left it and carried on.
