  1. I believe GeForce OpenGL support is via software emulation Quadro OpenGL supports OpenGL via hardware Way back in the day you could hack Geforce cards to emulate Quadro cards but it was a waste of time. The Geforce card just identified as a Quadro with no actual performance gains The GeForce/Quadro debate has been going on for about 20 years. The difference in speed and stability is real. You are not saving $$$ buying the GeForce. You may save some $$$ with your initial purchase, but you will give it back daily via degraded performance, graphics glitches and crashes.
  2. Quadro's support OpenGL, GeForce cards do not
  3. The Haas posts available for free on Mastercam.com are pretty good too
  4. It doesn't have a switch, but you can search for the text, find the line that outputs it and disable it with a # sign
  5. go the the online Carmex threading wizard Carmex Tool Wizard - Welcome work your way through it selecting the correct material and a thread mill from the "HARDCUT" line keep working through the wizard and use it to post gcode... that will show you what your code should look like you should be getting a G04 , a G42 CDC callout and a top down toolpath when using these cutters I lie to Mastercam and define the cutter as a single point tool so that I get a single toolpath from top to bottom These cutters have 3 teeth and doing that gives you one finish pass and 2 spring passes all in one pass. If you can, run the tool 3 teeth deeper than your depth callout.. as the leading teeth break down, the next two are still making good spring passes and your thread will gage properly to the required depth You get a safe repeatable toolpath that makes good threads for a long time.
  6. you want to choose right hand thread and top down
  7. I don't have access to Cimco probing but wouldn't this workaround make this less irritating?? 1. make some junk level the active level 2. turn that level's visibility off The lines would still be created, but you couldn't see them and you could blow out the whole level when you were done
  8. Yup.. around here it's usually harder to get a part through inspection than it is to build it. I thought inspection's job was to sell parts, not spend days rooting around in the weeds looking for something to write up
  9. I would check out the default Wire paths and compare them to your default mill paths There really shouldn't be any difference.
  10. what kind of machine are you programming this for
  11. I'm doing a lot of work in 2023 now I've never used stock in the Group Manager and still don't I have found that you need to get the Stock Plane in the Group Manager correct or models won't come in correctly
  12. It's a setting in System Config. You can turn it off or on. I'm not at my computer right now and don't remember where it is
  13. Sometimes it useful to group surfaces by color, drive, drive + .004, check, check +.05 etc Then you can use color mask selection to select them
  14. I used to shut down every day when I went home I can't do that anymore because I frequently need to remote in from home now. Since I can't shut it down every night, I've made a habit of rebooting first thing every morning.
  15. Is it creating surfaces instead of solids?? There is a setting for that. Check the settings at File/ Configuration/Converters I moved this thread to the Industrial Forum where it will get more traffic
  16. Got this in my email this morning https://youtu.be/1iPY-Gab6YE
  17. If you don't have an account at Mastercam.com you will need to put your hasp on your old Win 10 machine log into Mastercam.com and create an account. Then you will be able to download the new drivers you need to get the HASP working in Windows 11
  18. Go to Mastercam.com and download the latest hasp drivers
  19. Try a G98 or G99 in the G81 line You will also need an R value
  20. It looks like the scale for used to set colors when you compare verify results to design models I have no idea how it could end up on the main graphics screen. Being a new instal on a new machine, I have to ask. Did you allow One Drive to kidnap your computer
  21. It broke because the RPM of the spindle is near zero at Ø.020 The insert cannot cut at those speeds I'd stop a little before that and break it by hand.
  22. I would farm them out to a tool grinder. They have tools built for this kind of work
  23. Yes... I have seen a Y axis lead screw get a bad spot worn in it by a toolpath like this in a production environment
