I have a 4-axis job that the geometry on the top plane has more entities than the bottom plane. I have put a file on the ftp site in the WIRE folder named edm4-e2.mc7, it is a sample file. What my question is, is there a way to associate the top geometry (magenta) to the bottom (green) so they have the same amount of entities. The sample has the bottom geometry brokened up already, I was just wondering how it was done. Hope I xplained myself well.
Thanks,
Guy
Hey guys and girls,
I would like to add a zero before the decimal but only on the 'z' values. Where on the pp file should I look. My Fanuc control will only search for Z0.05, and not Z.05, it gives me an alarm.
NOW:
T1M06
G00G90X-.733Y.3867S3000M3
G43H1Z3.M08
G1Z.075F50.
Z.02F15.
G2X-.4824Y.1999Z.0157I.1253J-.0934
X-.733Y.3867Z.0114I-.1253J.0934
X-.5889Y.4484Z.01I.1253J-.0934
HOW I WOULD LIKE:
T1M06
G00G90X-.733Y.3867S3000M3
G43H1Z3.M08
G1Z0.075F50.
Z0.02F15.
G2X-.4824Y.1999Z0.0157I.1253J-.0934
X-.733Y.3867Z0.0114I-.1253J.0934
X-.5889Y.4484Z0.01I.1253J-.0934
Thanks for any suggestions,
Guy

I don't believe that they did that for V9; did they?
I had ver7 with no dwg translator and upgraded to ver9 and had the translator without asking for it, so I assume that it is included at no cost in ver9.

I had same problem. The 'h' value was different than 't' value. d0gFartz recommend I do this ........
quote:
Screen Configure,NC Settings,Operation Defaults,Select Defaults.df9,right click and go into Job Setup, look for the Tool Offset Registers-its set to add 1 to length 20 to diameter...........set them to 0 and 0.......oh and make sure after you save the change to the mill9.cfg or whatever your cfg file is namedGuy
p.s. thanks again d0gFartz
Forum members,
In ver9 the tool length output (H) is 1 # greater than my tool #(T). Where can I change this default so that both the T# and the H# are the same? I last was in ver7 and never had that problem before.
what it out puts in ver9:
T5M06
G00G90X.1029Y-.0171S4500M3
G43H6Z3.M08
what I want it to output:
T5M06
G00G90X.1029Y-.0171S4500M3
G43H5Z3.M08
Hope I xplained it well.
Thanks,
Guy

To download a file from the FTP site, right click on the file and select "Copy To Folder..." and then specify the folder to place the file. This was taken from the ftp instruction's page.

Hi everybody,
I would like to if possible to print a 4-view drawing. MasterCam help says you can, but I get only one view to print. Using v9sp1.
Thanks,
Guy
Whenever I use snapshot, I always set the level to a level not being used. This way whatever is created I know is junk I can delete carefully.
