it all comes down to the type of parts your doing widgets +-.001 or high tollerence high dollar parts+-.0001 .001 buy the haas .0001 spend the big bucks and get the mori but plan on using that $$$ for along time or buy a middle of the road machine and up grade every 5 year and gain all the advantages of technology all gained in those five years faster spindals look ahead etc... etc...if iwas driving back and forth to a job every day 5 miles away id buy a chevy if i was on the road sales id buy the lexus just my .02

same here our company is holding up from sw 2003 till mcam cathes up come on already !!!

haas is no throw away machine weve been running them for years cutting 316ss and steel and no problums and i dont know about the rest of you nothing but great service every time all together we have 6 haas machines from 40 x20 to mini mills to thier turning centers great machine great price oh yea made in america the best part

at our place we hire interns for the summer /break and the first 3 weeks they shadow people in the shop and the assembly floor to give them some insight as to how things are done in the real world i know 3 weeks is hardly enought time but it helps and they have all said no other intern job gave then that exposure and this way when they are hired after graduation they know alittle bit about the manufacturing end of the projects and being the programmer i can see it in there work ex: not overly tight dimintionson a tapped hole

we too draw and machine edge breaks on our parts let the machine deburr all the sharp edges so jose dosnt hack it up looks soooo much better than some filed or scraped deburr job ivote for an edge break option too

i hve a 3dlabs wildcat vp 700vpu card -vp760board???not sure what the board # means and some times but not always at start up it dosent load right my desk top is smaller then full screen and to one side with big fonts ??? i turn computer off and back on and its fixed any ideas???xeon 2.8 1 gig ram mcam v9 sp1 with solidsthanks in advance for any replies

always wondered how you become a beta tester do i contact my dealer???my company is also on solidworks 2003 we used to just open sldprt files right off the server know we have to open file up in solidworks and convert and then back to mcam and open a few more steps then we like oh well i guess v9.1 will be out soon???
