better yet when im strugguling with some function in mastercam could the forum sence that! and then do a search! then post the replys rite in mcams main menu ???? this way no repeat questions
a few versions ago we had edited our menu text EX:in our peck drill we edited this to say I J K insteed of 1si peck 2nd peck ete... question is where do i edit this from now in v9 sp1??? i know it can be done but could not find it now .thanks for all the help

i dont think this is an option for hass ive asked about this and was told it was coming but not here yet we use REPEAT rigid tapping .tap the holes so deep and then go back and tap to full depth takes 2 steps but works! good threads at great depths

no its not something we do in mcam its at the controller a drill cycle then the hole positions and call the sub etc...
yea its called feedrate/ spindalspeed override crank it up or down till chater stops its called the sweet spot your tool is harmonicaly balanced machinest have been doing this for years with out the govm't sponcered grant at some big university

exactly insteed of doing my job twice on some jobs weve used a roll tap to suck material into the hole?? works hmmm lets see .395 dia ithink we just missed using 3/8-24 ??anyone else!!
my companys engineers always (some of them )spec out bearings to the high side there always afraid it will be to tight after it is pressed in to the bore so ive found myself always getting the bearing and sizeing the hole accordinglee(spelled wrong???) not be cause its my job but im tierd of doing my job twice!!
