I rough out, say a piece of stock, Then save in Verify as an stl file. Then when i go to finish the part I can use the stl file as my stock for my finish tools. I just save it in the same job folder. In Verify options, click file, then tell it where you saved it. Works great!

Its really nice to be able to work on one screen and have the operations manager and other things I need open on the other screen! My space navigator makes programming even better cuz I can spin and zoom real fast to get the exact piece of geom. I need! Plus I have two buttons on the thing I can set to whatever I need! currently I have them set as "ESC" key and "Top View" key!
I have some holes i need to drill on the face of a part. I need to rotate the spindle using c axis to rach them all. When I set the rotary axis control to c axis, I get a G95 in my code.
(inches per rev) not good for a drill!! Does anyone know where to fix this in my post??? This post has been back to CNC soloutions twice for this reason now. Thanks for your help!
For YEARS??? Mastercam knows of this bug and they dont fix it? Maybe they should come out with a whole new version for mill/turns and 5 axis machines! They tought FBM too and I cant use that in Lathe either!
Im using X4 MU3 Lathe, why do i have to regenerate every toolpath each time i change a feedrate on just one of the tool paths?? This takes a LONG time especially if i have any 3d toolpaths!
your sfm is about right but your chip load is way light. I would try 200(sfm) x 3.82/.093=8215 (rpm) 8215(rpm)*.002(chipload)*4 (#of teeth)=65 (IPM). YMMV!!
Im using X4 MU3, anyone know if Kennametal has upgraded its tooling list lately??
I heard Iscar has ALOT in X5, I might have to start using Iscar tools!
I just moved back to the upper midwest from Florida. 1 Master is correct, not much to choose from. There is not alot of cnc shops there so not alot of talented people. What jobs are there do not pay well. There used to be some Mold shops near Tampa but China does that cheaper now as well. Good Luck!
I have taken SEVERAL classes from our reseller! They will make you feel like an expert in no time! We have a Multus as well, setting up WCS was the most frustrating issue for me.
