Im back with Mastercam myself. I need some more training on the Esprit and finding lots of things I don't like about it. I am only going to use it on solid models 4 axis type stuff. It sucked jumping back and forth from one software to another. It doesnt take me long to get rusty when you get use to using something else. Plus I am so used to using my right click mouse options on Mastercam. Their help menu sucks too and their discussion forum is about as useless getting an answer that Ti*s on a Boar hog my daddy always said.
If you haven't already then,
Look in settings>config>screen>middle mouse wheel and it has some choices there.
You may have reverse middle mouse checked and shouldnt.
I like the Fanuc WEDM for this. I just need to do 2 edge finds along the length and enter a 4 digit code and it tells me the angle part is on. I then just enter that angle in the axis rotation and all moves run parallel to x and y.
Do you have your toolbar set in settings,configuration,start/exit or maybe you have toolbar state checked in your machine def. which is not your default toolbar.
One of the worst things here and its always been like this is, people keep all the tooling in their own tool boxes and you have to go to person to person to find what you need.
Before when I saved a file and went to look for it in a particular folder it would always list the files alphabetically or by numeric sequence. Now it list them randomly and I don't see the option on where to change it. MCX7 mU2
I manually broke arc both top at bottom. The bottom at 180 degrees and the top at 0 degrees.
Make top and bottom arcs and thread point same color
4 axis wirepaths
have chain option set at ccw and select thread point and select geometry at 180 degrees
Change chain option to cw and chain geometry from 0 degrees. This will keep the wirepath inside the part
Use direct 4 axis and use sync by entity
It looked right to me.
On the Merge/Pattern ribbon bar look at the " current Attributes" icon. If you click it. it applies the current level and color. if you leave it off which is the default setting it maintains the original color and level.
