wow. what a shame. +1 to mike. my wife tried to get me in the delivery room both times but i knew from past experiences in hospitals that i would end up being a patient right next to her (if i was lucky). nobody knows for sure, but chances are he didn't have any problems the first time and saw no reason for concern. may god bless his family in this very trying time.

I almost voted "could care less" but chose the "somewhat curious" instead. and here is my reason : no matter how great it is, i know i won't see it for awhile - if ever. i'm still stuck in V8 with no relief in sight. in fact we just got all new computers for everyone in the office - except me of course. so i'm confident it will be a long time before i get my chance. I'm not doing a whole lot of design work right now so i somewhat understand the reasoning but it still sucks. irregardless of this, i'm still curious as to what it has and look forward to all the posts about the new enhancements it has to offer.

wow! you aren't kidding. the lineups on the grounds are pretty solid - especially for the price. unfortunately, we already have passes for the celebration over here and at $160 i'm gonna have to use them. but for future reference (like next year), is this something i want to bring my wife along to or should i leave her behind (you know, based on the crowd around) ? Now that i understand it better, i'm definately going to start planning NOW for next years fest. see if i can get a group of friends to go for a long weekend or something (and get in touch with you hopefully ). how far in advance should i try booking a hotel room? have fun!!!

what exactly am i getting in with these tickets? do they allow you into the grounds and then you have to purchase tickets to the actual concerts you want to see? or can you still "hear" the concert without being in the venue (this doesn't bother me, i wouldn't want to be up close and get trampled on by a bunch of kids anyways) not trying to be ignorant - i really am interested in going to summerfest one year but i just can't see how it works. besides, i'm sure all the hotels are booked by now.

toolfab... it's only 10. to get in? the website is misleading. i've heard about this a lot (my friend has a sister living in milwaukee and goes every year) but i always thought it was expensive. how do i go about getting in for that price again? shoot, i'd cross the big lake on the ferry and go to them concerts over the summer celebration we have going on here in muskegon summercelebration. not that the bands here are that bad but you can't beat summerfest lineup!

by using this DBAN method i can clean the drives but will need the disks, correct? that is where the problem lies, these PC's were purchased before my time here, so where they went is anybodies guess. i'm not overly concerned about getting the information off these computers completely - anything important was saved to the server rather than the hard drive. but i would like to get the PC back to its original state so as to free up as much memory as possible and get them running as smoothly as possible. does this clarify what i'm trying to do any better? also, what happens if i format the drive? do i have to reinstall windows? thanks

I've been asked to take all the old PC's we just replaced and remove any company specific stuff from them before they are offered to the employees. Is there a simple way to get the hard drive back to their original clean state without having any of the disks that came with them (these PC's are old - like pentium 1,2 or 3 old)? thanks, josh

Hey, we ended up losing our semi-final game friday to the eventual winner in our division. thats alright though, the way my team hit (or should i say didn't hit)the ball they were lucky to get that far. I prefer to look at it this way: 1 of 4 teams out of app. 200 left in our division isn't all bad. and 1 of 16 in the whole state overall isn't too shabby either! it was a blast and something i won't soon forget!

i'm trying to find the voloview software for viewing .dwg files. i did a search of the forum and at one point, Jay said it is available on the FTP. i'm unable to find it however and was wondering if he pulled it for some reason. i also went to autodesk's website and they say it is no longer available. can anyone please help? thanks

as exciting as this whole piston victory is, i have to tell you i was a little preocupied with some exciting stuff going on in my life (james, i'm sure you'll appreciate this). here in michigan, high schools are divided into 4 divisions based on enrollement. i happen to be a coach on the baseball team of my alma mater who is in division 4. last night we played in a quarterfinal game for only the third or 4th time in school history. let me just say, had this game been anything other than a high school game, it would have been an instant classic on espn! (we play seven inning games here in mi) last nights game went 9 innings and we pulled it out in the bottom half 1-0 with a double followed immediatly by a single after not hitting the ball for 8 innings. both pitchers threw gems. striking out double digit batters for each of them. so know we are one of only 4 teams left in division 4 with the semi's this friday! what an awesome feeling!

james,james,james... explain to me how the refs are supposed to call fouls on LA when they continually settle for jump shots. and don't even start with shaq. he is THE most dominate player in the league, i'll give you that. but if he can lower his shoulder and throw elbows all over the place, then he is fair game for taking a beating himself. ask your referee father in-law about whether or not that should be an offensive foul. i have to disagree that the lakers are the best team. they may have the 2 best players in the league, but that's it. to be the better team, you have to have the higher score at the end of the game more times than your opponent. so far the pistons have been that team 3 times to LA's one. people can make excuses all they want but everything in this series points to DETROIT being the better TEAM!

profiling is done on a daily business in all areas of life - not just the justice system. how you react when someone from the "outside" is frequenting your neighborhood, is natural (even if some would call it profiling). i know i'm guilty of this and would bet at some point in life everyone has done the same thing - its human nature.

More than anything, i want to see the pistons win so that malone and payton don't get their rings! abandoning the teams they played for for so long to go the automatic win in LA, couldn't of happened to 2 better players. that's what makes me smile. Jeff... do you follow high school baseball at all?
